Chapter 281 The Culprit is Caught
Henry's face was all serious. Joe didn't have a lot of students, and Allison was the only junior. She was super talented and humble, and they all owed her big time. So, if anyone dared to talk smack about Allison, they wouldn't put up with it.
Kerena was shocked by how much Henry valued Allison, which only made her more bitter. "Henry, why are you defending her so much? Do you like her or something?" Henry's eyes darkened as he glared at Kerena. "Whether I like her or not is none of your business. Every student under our teacher likes her. Is that so weird? Allison has a boyfriend. If you're just jealous, maybe you should take a good look in the mirror. Jealousy makes people ugly!"noveldrama
Kerena stormed off in tears, but Henry didn't give it a second thought. Allison was clueless about the whole thing but had unknowingly made an enemy.
Alexander had given Allison the test report, and she asked James to bring Aiden to the research lab. "Joe's got testing equipment here. I want to do a blood test on Aiden. Tell Alexander to bring him over."
James nodded and quickly went out to call Alexander.
Alexander knew that Allison wanted to avoid leaving medical records at the hospital to prevent alerting anyone, as it was clear that the culprit was lurking there and would be aware of any unusual activity.
Sawyer filled Aiden in on the situation on the way. Aiden, having faced many challenges, was bummed to learn that Herbert was behind it.
Aiden said, "Herbert had money troubles in college. The Carter Group sponsored his education, and I got him a spot at the hospital. I never thought he would stab me in the back!"
When they got to the research lab, Allison's face was serious as she laid out the hospital's medical records and logs in front of Aiden and Alexander. "Herbert prescribed this medication to six people as a sedative, but none of them needed it. Two have already died. Of the remaining four, one has cancer and is undergoing treatment, and the other three have similar backgrounds to Aiden."
Aiden's face changed dramatically as he looked at the list and slammed his hand on the table. "Ray Dobbins, a national academy member, and Zella Patel, a renowned medical expert and Joe's wife, are among the deceased. Herbert is a scoundrel!" Allison and Alexander exchanged a look, understanding the complexity of the situation. Alexander stepped out to make a call while Allison examined Aiden. Suddenly, the computer in the lab sounded an alarm.
Sabrina said, "Allison, red alert! Someone has accessed the lab's surveillance system!" Allison quickly ran over, started working on the computer, played a pre-prepared video, and handed the rest over to Sabrina. "Track this person, quickly!"
Sabrina nodded, a lollipop in her mouth, and began typing rapidly.
Within three minutes, she found the location and sent it to Allison, who then forwarded it to Alexander. The address was on the commercial street opposite Stellar University. Allison hacked into their surveillance system.
The screen soon showed two people: Herbert, lounging on a couch with a cigarette, and a woman with her back to the camera.

Allison turned on the audio and listened in on their conversation.
"Did the lab find anything?"
"Everything's normal. They told me the lab is undergoing a four-hour disinfection, but it's weird because this is the first time Area 8 has been shut down."
Herbert, still smoking, stood up to check the computer screen.
"Don't overreact. Our mission is almost complete. Once those key figures are gone, Novaria's economy will be in crisis, and our people can take advantage. But this girl Allison has been causing trouble. She even took out one of our agents. We should prepare to leave." The woman continued working on the computer. Allison noted the time; she couldn't watch the surveillance for more than five minutes without being detected, so she had to exit before they noticed.
But the woman never turned around, and Allison couldn't see her face.
"Allison, it's time to pull out!" Sabrina shouted, and Allison quickly exited, discreetly planting a virus in the surveillance program before leaving.
The identities of the two would be left to the authorities to investigate.

Alexander said, "Landon is on his way with a team. They'll catch them soon. Don't worry."
Hearing that Landon was involved, Sabrina was thrilled. "I knew Landon was the best!"
Allison shook her head with a smile. After examining Aiden, she made a firm decision. "We need to start dialysis right away. The cancer cell count is alarmingly high."
Alexander agreed but was concerned about Aiden's ability to endure it.
Allison continued, "Don't worry. Aiden is in good shape. If we rely on his body to metabolize the cancer cells, it will take too long. Dialysis combined with medication will help him recover faster."
With Allison's assurance, Alexander felt relieved. Sabrina continued monitoring the lab's firewall. After the tests, Allison shut down the lab equipment and activated the disinfection system.
There were no cameras in the dialysis room, so they could let the lab undergo the disinfection process without raising suspicion.
When the intruders hacked into the surveillance system again, they saw the lab filled with fog from the disinfectant, ensuring every corner was thoroughly cleaned. "Mr. Faith, it seems they really are disinfecting the lab. I might have been overthinking. But we can't let our guard down. The boss highly values Ms. Bennett. If possible, we should bring her to Eldoria. Mr. Faith, think about how we can get her."
As they discussed, Landon and his team entered through the back door and headed for the third-floor surveillance room. The alarm went off as soon as they appeared. Herbert panicked, but the woman beside him jumped out the window and escaped.
In the end, only Herbert was captured. Due to his special status, even Joe was called to the police station for questioning.
