The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 280 You Are So Lucky

Alexander was chilling at the Carter Group, going over some hospital data, when James strolled in with his phone. He showed Alexander a live stream of Allison saving someone. Alexander smirked. "Allison sure loves the spotlight, huh?"

James adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and chuckled. "Ms. Bennett's got skills. It's only a matter of time before people notice. She's probably doing this for attention. If anyone wants to recruit her, they'll have to step up their game."

Alexander watched a bit longer and saw Allison heading to the cafeteria. He quickly turned to James. "Order some hot cocoa."

James asked, "How many should I get, Mr. Carter?"

Alexander replied, "A thousand cups. And make sure they know it's from Allison's fiancé."

James left with a grin and personally delivered the hot cocoa to the school cafeteria. The students buzzed with excitement. "What's going on? Why are all these guys in suits delivering hot cocoa?"

"Feels like something a CEO would do." The chatter grew louder as Allison noticed James approaching.

James said, "Ms. Bennett, Mr. Carter sent a thousand cups of hot cocoa. He said it's a treat from your fiancé!"

Allison sighed. Alexander always had to make a big show of things.

"Dr. Bennett, you have a fiancé?"

Allison smiled and climbed onto a table. "Hey everyone, my boyfriend's treating you all! Enjoy the hot cocoa, one per person, no fighting!"

The cafeteria erupted in cheers. Free drinks? These two were definitely a power couple! Sabrina grabbed two cups, sipping happily. "Allison, you're so lucky!"

Allison shook her head and continued eating. "We've got important stuff to do later, so hurry up and eat!"

Hearing there was important business, Sabrina perked up and ate quickly. After finishing, they helped clean up the cafeteria, inspiring other students to join in. The cafeteria staff were thrilled. "Dr. Bennett is amazing!"

"Yeah, Orion finally made it. Mabel's doing well, and now they can save up for the future!"

As Allison was leaving, she ran into a group of people. She tried to dodge them, but they blocked her path. "Allison, we're also studying traditional medicine. Your massage therapy method is plagiarized, right? Mr. Phillips published a paper with the same method. You're a fraud!"

"Yeah, and you even live-streamed it. We're reporting you to the school administration!"Allison raised an eyebrow at the indignant students. "So, you guys are into traditional medicine? You've read the medical books? Using methods from those books to treat patients would be plagiarism too, right? And the Mr. Phillips you're talking about is Henry, right? Go ask him. If I really plagiarized, he can report me."

Unfazed, Allison walked away. The students, still fuming, went to find Henry. Adjusting his gold-rimmed glasses, Henry listened to their complaints. "So, you're saying Allison stole my massage therapy method from my paper, and I should report her?" "Yes, Henry! Allison is out of control. She should be reported and expelled!"noveldrama

Henry smirked, clearly exasperated. "Allison is my junior. We were taught by the same teacher. That paper wasn't even written by me. I specialize in modern medicine. Allison is the only one among us who studies traditional medicine. She developed that massage therapy method herself, modifying treatments from medical books. If anyone's guilty of plagiarism, it's me. I wrote that paper for her because she didn't want to. Allison doesn't care about these accolades because she has so many. You can look her up online."

Henry's expression turned cold, his gaze sharp, making the students uncomfortable. "If you're studying traditional medicine, you should know that our pharmacology comes from old medical books. Is that plagiarism too? As doctors, jealousy is unacceptable. If someone is better than you, you want to destroy them? People like you don't deserve to study medicine and should never become doctors."

The students, initially eager to report Allison, were now humiliated. They looked up Allison online and found hundreds of papers, many part of their curriculum. "Is this really Allison?"

"She's incredible!"

Kerena Collins, a top student at the medical school, was furious. She knew Henry but had never heard of Allison. She stormed into Henry's office. "Henry, why have you never mentioned your junior before?"

Henry, busy writing medical records, looked up in surprise. "Why should I? Besides, it's my teacher's business, not mine. Allison is a genius, Joe's student, and the true medical prodigy. She's my teacher's pride and joy."

Kerena's jealousy grew, her eyes filled with resentment. "But you have more experience. How can she publish so many papers? Some must be yours!"

Henry laughed, shaking his head. "You're wrong. Allison's skills surpass mine by far. Many of my papers were collaborations with her. If she wanted fame, she would have surpassed Joe long ago. Kerena, don't concern yourself with Allison. She's like family to me, and I won't tolerate anyone speaking ill of her."
