Chapter 3228
Imogen would not even know that Dylan was the one who bought the souvenirs.
After thinking about it, Dylan decided to go with Grandma May's suggestion.
If he were to tell Imogen that he bought the gifts, she probably would think that he had some lingering feelings for her and feel hopeful. It would be troublesome if she refused to give up.
"Aren't you heading home to eat, Nana?"
Dylan looked at his watch. It was almost mealtime.noveldrama
Grandma May said, "I'm full from eating so much barbecue. I'll have a simple lunch at their quarters later.
She would go for a light lunch after having too much chicken and fish.
"You should dine with your parents back home."
"Okay."
Since Grandma May did not want to go home yet, Dylan did not insist.
The old lady enjoyed spending time with the ladies. She would not go hungry anyway. He did not have to worry about her not having anything to eat. "I'll call the ladies over to admire the flowers here."
Grandma May took out her phone.
Dylan only left when he saw the ladies heading over.
Soon, he returned to his car and drove up the hill.
However, he did not realize that Grandma May was watching him as he left. She also whispered, "You can never outplay me, little rascal. You'll be begging me in the future."
Things were more interesting that way. It added some spice to her dull, retired life as well.
Having grown old, she had nothing to do. Since her grandsons forbade her from working, she would tease them to keep herself entertained. Meanwhile, Rosella was waiting at the villa's door. When she saw Dylan's car, her face lit up with a smile before he even got out of the car.
Ever since he became an adult, he rarely returned home. As parents, they hoped their sons could come back and have a meal at home; even better if they stayed for a few days.
However, they knew their sons were busy with work and never asked the boys to visit often.
Besides, Grandma May was still around. The York brothers were filial grandsons. They would always return at least once or twice a month, or even more.
"Mom."
Dylan parked his car before his house. When he got off, he had a velvet box in his hand. It was the present he prepared for Rosella.
Since he had gotten a bouquet for his nana, he had to buy a present for his mother too.
Grandma May was the richest of them all. That was why her gifts could be kept simple. He would get scolded if he prepared something extravagant anyway, so he just bought a bouquet.
On the other hand, his mom would scold him, but she would be utterly delighted in her heart.
Whenever the brothers bought something for their parents, they would get scolded for wasting money. However, their parents would still put on the clothes or jewelry they gifted immediately and show them off.
Dylan remembered when Callum first bought a suit for their father. Martin would not take it off once he put the suit on. He even wished he could wear it to the company every day and show off the clothes his son bought for him.
"Didn't Nana come back with you?" Rosella asked with a smile.
When she saw the velvet box Dylan held, she said, "Did you buy jewelry for me again? I have a lot of them. You don't have to buy them for me anymore. You should save up and buy these things for your wife in the future.”
What do you think?
