Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3479 Just Dig Deeper

"Mr. Lopez, if it were a typical ore vein, digging diagonally would usually be fine. But for this kind of ore, which forms in cold, shadowy environments, where do you think such a place might be?" Angus' eyes lit up in response. "Underground!"

"Exactly," Matthew confirmed with a nod. "Dig straight down about 60 feet, and you'll definitely hit ore."

Angus' face lit up with excitement, and he looked like he wanted to hug Matthew. "Matteo, if we really manage to extract ore, I'll give you half of it for free!"

"Thank you," Matthew replied. He accepted the gesture without hesitation. It wasn't an offer that made a big difference to him, but it was significant enough for Angus.

Without wasting another moment, Angus hurried outside to organize a team to dig at the abandoned site. He had always regretted leaving that mine unexploited. Despite deeming it a dead site, he hadn't sold it off, and now it seemed like that decision had paid off.

Near sunset, Angus returned, his clothes covered in dust but his face beaming with joy. He spotted Matthew and shouted excitedly, "Matteo! We found it-it's there!"

Matthew nodded as if he'd expected nothing less.

"Don't worry, Matteo," Angus continued, his tone brimming with gratitude. "Half of all the ore we excavate will be sent directly to Larch Island. I'll make sure there's no trouble."

Bram's original letter had mentioned that Matthew would need to arrange transport, but Angus no longer cared about such details. He saw Matthew as someone far above an ordinary buyer. "Thank you, Mr. Lopez," Matthew replied.

"Oh, Mr. Larden," Angus said,

suddenly remembering something, "since you have such a sharp eye for ore, I'd like to ask your opinion on something. A small new vein was discovered on the north side of the island, and the governor plans to auction the mining rights in a few days. If you're interested, you could

take a look. We could mine it on the same terms-fifty-fifty split, as before. What do you think?"

Angus had quickly realized the best way to deal with Matthew: directness. Hiding or hesitating would only make Matthew uninterested. Speaking openly and

honestly gave clear answers, even if they weren't always favorable.

Matthew considered the offer for a moment before replying, "I can help you evaluate it, Mr. Lopez, but I can't guarantee absolute accuracy. There's always some risk involved." Matthew's tone carried a touch of humility despite his confidence in his abilities.

The Larson Family had a long-standing tradition of passing down knowledge. Though their expertise lay in herbs, they had also encountered countless types of ores over the generations. Combining this inherited knowledge with his keen observation and refined skills,

Matthew was able to confidently

identify the potential of the

abandoned site.

"No problem at all, Mr. Larden. As long as you're willing to take a look, any loss will be on me. And if there's a profit, we split it evenly," Angus said eagerly. Angus was willing to cover all the labor and equipment costs, ensuring that even in the best-case scenario, half of the mined ore would belong to Matthew. "Thank you, Mr. Lopez," Matthew replied.

As they spoke, Catia walked in, carrying several bags. She set them down on the table with a huff.

"Here's your dinner, you two. Try not to choke on it!" she said, shooting Angus a sharp glare before turning on her heel and leaving.

Angus gave an embarrassed laugh and turned to Matthew. "There's not much good food on this island. I hope you won't mind." Matthew shook his head lightly. "It's fine. Anything will do."noveldrama
