Wyatt had been talking for ages, but Trevor wasn't responsive. Wyatt found it weird as he raised his eyes and looked at Trevor, only to see Trevor's eyes on the

bag.

"This looks pretty nice. I want it for my wife!" Trevor blurted out casually.

Trevor didn't really know much about women's tastes in accessories. It looked good to him, but he didn't know whether Victoria would like it.

Wyatt almost spewed out his mouthful of coffee. He rolled his eyes and held the bag tight in his hand.

"You really know how to take advantage of people, huh?"

Wyatt just took a little of Trevor's coffee, and Trevor was already planning on snatching Wyatt's bag. Huh-uh. That bag was for his little widow. It had been in his house after their last argument. Of course, Wyatt wanted to give it to Waverly, but typical Wyatt just kept forgetting. He thought putting the bag in his car would help, but apparently, it doesn't. He eventually decided to keep the bag in his sight from then on. He even took it to Trevor's company with him.

"Here I am, giving you crucial information about Harris, and you're eyeing my bag? I don't owe you anything, dude," Wyatt mumbled.

Trevor couldn't stop himself from chuckling when he saw how protective Wyatt was, "Oh, I don't want yours. You don't need to be so defensive! C'mon, it's just a little comment! Take it as a pinch of salt."

Another thought seemed to hit Trevor as he put down the information and got himself a cup of coffee, "Wyatt, are you guys in a serious relationship? What about Raynee? Have you made up your mind?"

Wyatt was fiddling with his coffee when he heard Raynee's name. He paused for a moment before nodding.

"Yeah, I've already made things clear with her!

Sometimes I feel quite sorry for her, you know. We've been together for so long...I've dreamt of marrying her, building a family with her, especially after you and Frederick's marriage, I craved it more every day! But now, well, I just feel more at ease, you know?"

He was a man after all, and men usually don't talk about sensitive stuff like that. Regardless of that, the two men were pretty comfortable with each other, so the conversation just happened naturally.

They exchanged glances as Trevor gave Wyatt a nod.

"I feel you! Some people, well, being with them makes you feel alone! Frederick and Alicia threw everyone off balance. We're not cold-blooded animals, after all, we have emotions too! Seeing them being so affectionate like that, dang, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous! I thought marriage was just some stupid trend people follow, but eventually, I guess, I started longing for that 'stupid' stuff too!"

"Does that mean we're all getting old?"

"No, it means we're growing. We've matured, and we're transitioning into another stage in life! It's not that bad either!"

To men like them, it was alright if their women were a bit slow and obtuse. As long as they weren't pestering and unreasonable. They were important people, after all, and there were just some things the public couldn't know about. It would be troublesome to have a wayward yet irrational and impulsive woman by their side. Those types of women would only doom them!

Raynee was actually a decent girlfriend. It was a pity!

Wyatt and Raynee's relationship started out as the most steady and smooth of them all. Everyone thought they would be the first to get married, but she was too headstrong. She was a perfectionist, and she asked too much of herself. She insisted on putting her career before their relationship, causing them to be torn apart by the distance.

Luck also wasn't by her side. She had worked so hard for so long, but she was always one step away from pure excellence!

If she had reached the peak earlier, or if he had met Waverly a little later, perhaps everything would've ended differently. Well, there was no use thinking about what could've been. Reality was often disappointing. No one would wait for you forever. Wyatt had waited long enough, and Waverly barged into his life at the right moment. Perhaps it was all meant to be!

As for Trevor and Selena, well, who would've thought someone as vulnerable and pure as Selena would turn out to be so cruel and vicious? Who would've thought that that blind date he had rejected for so long would end up as his savior?

Trevor was eternally grateful for Victoria, and maybe that was why Trevor resonated pleasingly with Wyatt's situation!

"Yeah, I think this is the kind of life I want! Just someone I can see and touch, someone who can make my day just by intruding into my mind every once in a while-"

However, Wyatt hadn't known

Waverly for that long yet. He knew very well that the two of them would need time to understand each other, and compromisations would need to be made. Wyatt thought one year would be enough. They'd have more than enough time to know each other more, and Raynee would have more than enough time to cool down from their break-up!

Trevor swept his gaze across the table. He told Wyatt his plans without hesitation.

"As you said, drug addicts are easily manipulated. The police have him, right? We should find a chance to take control of him."

Wyatt had intended to spend the day with Waverly, but Seth's sudden phone call prompted him to alter his plans slightly. He had to handle some business first. He met up with Seth and the two talked in the car. Wyatt ended the conversation as they reached the hotel.

"That's all for now! Make some plans first, and we'll talk about the rest during work! I've got a dinner date! I'm in quite a bit of a hurry!"

It was almost seven o'clock. Wyatt basically jumped out of the car.

They haven't even finished yet. Was he really in such a hurry? It'd only take another couple of minutes.
