Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1295

"Here, have some! Take whichever you like!"

With that, Yvette reached for it subconsciously, only to withdraw her hand immediately before sweeping her gaze across everyone in the room and landing on Lauren. She was clearly asking for her permission.

Seeing so, Lauren hurriedly said, "Don't forget to thank Great-grandpa."

"Thank you, Great-grandpa!"

With that, she took a mini green pastry from the outer side of the plate, and dimples formed from her beautiful smile.

"Alright, we can talk some other time. Let's eat; don't starve the child!"

Following that, everyone headed to the dining table. Very quickly, a feast was served. Yvette sat next to Lauren, looking around as she held the pastry in her hand instead of fussing or gluttoning like other children, much less touching the food. She just sat quietly in her seat when the adults hadn't begun eating, not even taking a bite out of the pastry.

After everyone had seated, Mr. Bowles deliberately paused for a moment, mainly looking at Yvette from the corner of his eyes. Children reflected their parents' parenting, and clearly, Yvette helped Lauren earn a few bonus points.

As she had eaten cake before coming, she was like an angel the entire meal, the epitome of lovable.

She had won the entire Bowles family over in a short time, and everyone lined up to give her presents and toys, fighting to play with her, when they returned to the living room after dinner.

More than that, Mr. Bowles didn't even furrow a brow the entire night. Yvette was lovely as well, clinging to him, constantly calling him while buttering up to him and giving him fruits, rendering him grinning from ear to ear, even praising her non-stop when they retired for the night.

It was Willy's parents and the family of three left. Though Alfred and Vanessa were beaming with joy, they were also filled with questions, and Vanessa couldn't help but ask.

"What the hell is up with you guys? Lauren, Tevye? You guys are confusing me! Also, how come you guys never said anything about Yvette..." Who would've thought they'd already had a child so big?!

Lauren opened her mouth a few times, kicking herself. The simplest of things wouldn't be complicated if she had just asked!

Looking at things now, Willy's grandfather had most probably accepted her! The remaining issues now were all her handiwork. She couldn't help wondering if Alfred and Vanessa would say no if they knew she retaliated against Willy, blew him off, and even used Isla as a scapegoat.

Just when she didn't know how to explain, Willy chimed in.

"Mom, Lauren is Yesmine! She grew up independent and didn't like using the Luther name for anything, so she never mentioned her background outside! To commemorate her deceased mother, she took up her maiden name; outsiders don't know this, so they have always thought she's an orphan. One falsity atop another, and with time, everybody believed it. As for Yvette."noveldrama

He took a breath and glanced at Lauren, nodding implicitly before continuing.

"It's not that we don't want to, but something happened to her, and she had forgotten her life as Lauren completely, only recalling recently. So..." He left things there. It was evident what he was trying to say. She didn't bring Yvette up because she mistakenly thought she had nothing to do with them, which was reasonable, and he didn't know about it, so he naturally wouldn't say anything. Plus, he used 'amnesia' as an excuse, so they could use this for whatever misunderstandings or issues they had between them after her 'amnesia'. So even if she had done anything inappropriate, nobody could blame her. After all, she didn't choose to have her memories lost.

It could be said that Willy had made the most perfect and impeccable explanation. Although there were some lies in it, he was willing to take the blame and bear all the consequences.

Sure enough, Vanessa sighed the next second. "So that's how it is. No wonder!"

Struck with a thought, she took Lauren's hand and patted lightly.

"Laurie, it's not that I disdain the poor and favor the rich, nor am I unreasonable. My prejudice toward you back then was out of my love for my son and also inexplicably misguided. Honestly, as long as you two love each other, I won't oppose strongly! Call me selfish, but to me, Willy is the most outstanding, and only the finest of women deserved him. So, I didn't deal with things appropriately in the past..."

Vanessa's words were tantamount to an apology. With that, Lauren hurriedly said, "I get it, Mrs. Bowels. I'm also a mother now! I never blamed

you!"

Back then, the person she blamed was Willy! She wasn't unreasonable, knowing who exactly was at fault or not!

Vanessa nodded and smiled.

"From how you raised Yvette and letting her acknowledge Willy and us, I know our family owes you! Goodness, look now distant we're being; we're already a family! I don't have a daughter of my own; from now on, you're also my daughter!"

Similarly, having lost a mother's love since little, Lauren craved a warm and harmonious family more than anyone. "Mom..."

One salutation, and that was all it took. Answering her, Vanessa removed the lavender jade bangle on her wrist and put it on hers.

After the dinner at the Bowles

l

Residence, everything naturally fell into place. Very quickly, news of Willy having a wife and a daughter and joining forces with the Luther family spread like wildfire. Furthermore, Mr. Bowles' action of bidding three hundred million dollars for a pair of blue diamonds for his granddaughter-in-law and great- granddaughter was tantamount to acknowledging Lauren and Yvette as a part of the Bowles family, thrusting their wedding to the limelight at once.

Cloud watched the news from her bedroom as she repeatedly stabbed a shoebox, which looked like the insides of a beehive in no time. Wedding? Why was she fine? Why this time? Why add insult to her injury? She had just lost her Dory, but they were already getting married? They were both little girls; why was she so lucky? How could her daughter live healthily, reunite after so many years, and even be fine after falling down a flight of stairs? How could she be loved and accepted so ceremoniously by the Bowles just like that?

Why was lady luck always on others' side while all the misfortune fell on her?

She paced back and forth in the dark room like a wandering soul, clenching her fists so tightly that they popped. She suddenly stopped and burst into tears as she closed her eyes.

If she married Willy back then, she would surely be living a happy life now. Heavens, she had two daughters! Who would've thought the Bowles family favored daughters. Oh, what a happy life she would've had!

But Stanley?! His family acknowledged neither of her daughters! Even when Stanley had passed, they wanted nothing to do with Dory and Fleur. What a heartless family!

The Silvestri family deserved to have perished!

She was also a victim; she didn't do anything wrong! She had two daughters; she was very good at birthing daughters. If it weren't for her or the d*mn girl, she would probably have a good future too!

The image of Willy holding her daughter in his arms, laughing happily, appeared in her mind. But her face soon gradually twisted when the image of Lauren showing up, pushing her child away, and embracing Willy alternated with the former.

"B*tch! It's because of all these batches! The two of them used to be so nice to me; it's because of these batches that the men changed, that they no longer were nice to me. Stanley was like this, but why Willy too?"

"It's these batches fault! These batches deserve to die! They cursed my daughter..."

"My Dory, Dory! They should be the ones to die!"

et

She was like a madman then, charging to the window, pressing two halves of the curtain together tightly when a sliver of light shone through. There's no more light, Dory. Come back, Mommy misses you somuch... Come back; you'll be able to see Mommy avenge you when you come back! These batches and their children are the reason for your death! I won't let them live a good life if they don't let me live mine. You won't feel lonely anymore when I get someone to accompany you, right?"

"You have to watch over Mommy..."

As she mumbled continuously, she inched to the bed and held a doll in her arms before continuing her mumbles.

"Yes, I have to be careful. I can't dirty my hands! I'm supposed to marry into the rich family; I'm supposed to become a young mistress! Nobody can make fun of me ever again; nobody will make a fool of me ever again!"

After finishing her work for the day, Lauren habitually went to pick Yvette up and even called home about it. Arriving five minutes early, she saw a familiar tall figure on the phone under a tree right as she got out of the car.

Willy had returned from his business trip? He couldn't possibly have come before even going back home, could he?

"Alright, I got it. You hadn't stopped since I turned my phone back on! How are you able to go on and on about this crap? Just hang in there for now. You're not the one losing money. I'm looking into the cocoa beans..."

Seeing that he seemed to be talking about something important, she decided not to go up to him but turned around and scrolled through social media. A few minutes later, a sweet voice traveled to her ears.

"Daddy!"

She looked up only to see her daughter was the first to rush out of the gates with her backpack, throwing herself at Willy's legs, casting her aside. "Daddy, you're back! I missed you so much. Where's the Bree you got me?" She was all smiles, nuzzling against his legs as she hugged them.

"Do you miss me, or do you actually miss Bree?"

Willy squatted down and pinched

her chubby cheek before pulling a small round bespoke handbag out from the shopping bag he was carrying. The color of the bag resembled Bree, and the round shape was formed from a long strip with the opening facing inward, ingeniously hiding the snake's head. It looked like any other bag from the outside, but looking at it closely, it looked exactly like two little snakes wrapping around it. What was more, the handbag was a little cool to the touch. Yvette rubbed her face against it after having a feel in her hands, all smiles.

"Bree..."

The bag was made according to her size, so it was tiny and light. Willy put it on her right as he took it out.

"And now, you also have Bree on you! When you're a little older, I'll let you choose a real 'Bree' to keep you company, okay?"

"Okay! Pinky swear, Daddy. You can't say you never said this..."

While they were making pinky swears, Lauren was already rolling her eyes speechlessly at the view. Meanwhile, a long camera lens poked out of the

car not far away, focusing on Yvette, shooting nonstop...
