Alpha's Second Chance

LOGAN

The plane landed and Enzo, Kyle, and I Rushed out of the plane and ignored the car. And we shifted into our wolves and ran toward home, and I was a little surprised to see how fast Enzo was. We are getting closer, and I can hear nothing.

'Liv!' I call out in the mindlink.

'Logan.' She answers, sounding tired.

'Where are you?' I ask.

'Hospital. Checking on the wounded ones.' She answers and I breathe.

'Where are the kids?' I ask.

'The twins were there with me, Noah was with Rose. He got her into their safe room.'

'And Noah?' I ask when she says he got Rose to safety.

'Someone got into the house. He fought them while she got in their safe room.' Liv says.

'Is he okay?' I ask as we can now see the hospital.

We all shift and lucky enough three nurses stand ready with clothes for us all.

"Rose?" Enzo asks a nurse.

"She is with Dr. Kendra. She is being checked out just to be safe." The nurse said, but Enzo didn't gear the last part as he was already gone running towards Kendra's office.

"My king, the queen is helping take care of wounded warriors. Miss Kate is here too helping the queen." The nurse says, and I am on my way to find them along with Kyle.

It doesn't take long before we find them, and I go to take her in my arms. Knowing she is here safely makes me relax, and I look around.

"How many?" I ask.

"Little over 50 is hurt. It came completely as a surprise. They came in as visitors. 23 are dead. 11 are not warriors. 5 are kids under fifteen years old." She says, and I get tense again, never have a kid been killed in my pack before. I sit down shocked, but I can still feel she needs to tell me something, so I look at her.

“Luca..... I am so sorry. He is gone. He was trying to get packmembers to safety. And someone shot him. They had weapons. Guns, crossbows." Liv says.

I do not know what to say, and I can just close my eyes and bow my head. I sit here for a little and try to understand what she said, Luca is gone.

"Where is he?" I finally ask.

Liv takes my hand and shows me the way to the room he has been put in, and I see his family there. His mom stands up and hugs me as she cries.

"I am so sorry, and even more sorry that I was not here," I say.

"No, don't be sorry, they didn't fight fairly. Had you been there, you could have been shot too. We all know that when an attack happens, it's a risk." Luca's father says as he helps me get his mom to let go of me.

"I will pay for the funeral. And everyone will know that he and everyone else will be greatly missed." I promise, and they thank me.

Back in the halls, I see Enzo and Rose followed by Noah. Noah looked like he had gotten a good beating but looked otherwise okay. Noah tells me that Matt is getting our defenses back in place while the twins are with Anna and Anna and Matt's kids.

"I am proud of you, son, you did good," I say and hug him.

Enzo and Rose, tell us that Rose is all good, and ask that Rose go home with Liv, so he can go help Matt.

but I agree with Enzo, and

eventually, she gives in and agrees to it go with Enzo, and we find Inoveldrama

ROSE

Noah had gotten me into the safe room, but even I was in there I could hear him fighting and I was so scared he would get hurt. When the room was finally being opened, I rushed to check him under high protest.

When we got to the hospital, I heard

about Luca and cried. Mostly for Dad, as I know they have been good friends since they were kids. Kendra had insisted that to check me, even if I told her I felt fine, and Enzo had come storming in, wanting to hear what happened.

When we came out from Kendra's office, I went home with Mom and Dad, and

Enzo went to help Uncle Matt get the warriors in their positions again.

I have still not heard what happened

in France, so hope they are back soon. So I can find out what happened. But right now the pack and taking care of the victims are more important. So I helped mom prepare food and get the restaurants that weren't ruined to start preparing food for everyone who needed it. On the royal family's account, so all can watch for free.

Next, I call Anna and her kids, and the twins come here to be with us and to help.

After several hours the front door opens and Enzo, and Sad, and Kyle, and Matt enter. And Kate came too just after them.

"Everything is under control again. So we can rest a few hours." Sad says as he kisses Mom. And Enzo kisses me.

"Then let us all sit down and eat, and then you can tell what happened in France. But apart from the chaos here, you seem calm, so I am guessing it went well." Mom says. And we all sit down and talk for hours and they tell us everything.
