The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 939

"Wait over there. They won't dare touch you," Felix told Xena while maintaining a calm expression as he faced the six Council Elders.noveldrama

In the past, he might have been less confident against these formidable opponents. Each of them was strong enough to challenge those above their level, which was precisely why they had earned their positions as Council Elders.

Having dealt with Gage before, Felix knew his cunning and temperament were terrifying. All that made him an exceptionally dangerous adversary.

"Felix, are you sure about this?" Xena asked worriedly, wondering how the Elders' Council dared to act so boldly and who this Grand Elder was that could hold off the Protector.

"Just go," Felix replied, his tone firm.

Gage took a step forward, his expression cold. "I know you're keeping your cool because you have the Lone Paragon on your side, but relying on something like that won't change your fate."

Felix smirked. "Skip the speech. You chose this location because you plan to hide in Martial City after killing me, right?"

Felix knew his mission was crucial to national security, and anyone interfering would be considered an

enemy of the state. The Elders' Council had clearly gone mad to attempt this, and they had no choice but to flee to Martial City afterward since nowhere else would be safe.

"You've figured it out. Now, prepare to die," Gage said, though none moved. Their attention suddenly shifted behind Felix, causing him to turn around.

"Why are you all doing here?" Felix asked in surprise as four women appeared about 30 feet away-Mira, Delilah, Leslie, and Averill.

"How annoying! We came to see you off, only to find these mood-killing old fossils," Averill growled, her eyes flashing dangerously.

"Go ahead, Felix. We'll handle this," Mira commanded. After exchanging glances with his senior apprentices, Felix left with Xena.

When the six Council Elders saw the

women, their faces completely changed, and they immediately turned to flee. They had not expected four of Gerald's disciples to show up, completely derailing their plans.

"You old geezers think you can just leave after coming here? Prepare for your death!" The four women vanished in pursuit.

Given how formidable his senior apprentices were, Felix knew the Council Elders would likely never be seen again.

"This is the spot. Please wait for the Protector," Xena said.

Xena's emotions were in turmoil.

She could not believe Felix had so many senior apprentices-let alone ones this stunning. Each one was breathtakingly beautiful, the ind that left people speechless.

Though she did not feel inferior, she could not deny a simple truth-Felix was never lacking when it came to beautiful women around him.

In less than a minute, the Protector whom Felix had met at the Martial Arts Competition appeared.

"Hmph! Some people are getting too bold, thinking they can find safety in Martial City," the Protector

snarled, confirming Felix's suspicion that the Grand Elder had already fled there.

However, this brought Felix no joy. Instead, his heart was filled with bitterness, knowing that Eloise's threats would carry less weight with the Grand Elder in Martial City. There was a very real possibility that the Grand Elder would search the entire city for Felix without restraint.
