Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 888

Chapter 888:noveldrama

The moment the timer hit zero, a burst of thick black smoke and roaring flames shot out of the microwave!

The white phosphorus ignited instantly, and in less than two minutes, the lounge was completely engulfed in an uncontrollable inferno.

“Fire! There’s a fire!” Allison screamed, ripping off her lab coat as she dashed toward a nearby workstation. “The lounge is burning! Get out now!” she yelled.

All heads turned toward the lounge, where the raging flames were devouring everything in sight.

In the chaos, Allison slipped away and quietly locked the office door behind her.

Colton had been nothing more than a pawn in her plan. The plan for tonight was clear: destroy the lab. But because of a favor from years ago, she chose to spare his life.

The office had been built to survive explosions. Even if it was destroyed, the defense system would keep the people inside safe from the outside world.

By locking him in, she ensured he would live. But whether he would be suspected in relation to the explosion or anything else, that was not her concern.

“Don’t blame me for being ruthless,” Allison muttered, her eyes briefly lingering on the office door.

She knew she wasn’t a good person.

Like Verruckt, she would do whatever it took to get what she wanted.

At the same time, Kellan had already made it to the same floor and, of course, heard Allison’s voice. The thick smoke didn’t stop them from carrying out their plan. “Get the fire extinguishers,” he ordered. Leading his team, who were dressed as security guards, he rushed out to tackle the fire.

Everyone in the second basement was coughing and struggling to stay on their feet because of the heavy smoke.

“What’s happening? How did the fire start?” people were asking, confused. They saw many security guards in black uniforms, appearing out of nowhere, but there wasn’t time to wonder about it. They could only shout, “Put the fire out fast! We can’t let it spread!”

Kellan’s voice, disguised and harsh, rang out. “Evacuate upstairs right now! It’s too dangerous here.”

The researchers exchanged nervous looks, unsure whether to act without clear orders.

Lena stepped forward, her decision firm. “No, we can’t leave without the research materials. They’re too important. We need to take them with us.”

But the fact was that without proper orders from Verruckt or Jareth, they were too afraid to move.

Allison had expected this. Using Verruckt’s fingerprint, she accessed the central control system of the second basement and quickly found the evacuation button.
