Chapter 164 I'm Allergic to Hypocritical Ladies
When Eric said what he said, everyone was rooted to their spot-including me. When my senses came back to me, I gave him a shocked look.
He quietly squeezed my hand and flashed me a reassuring smile. Then, he shielded me behind him and faced Jeremiah alone.
Eric's voice immediately turned cold when he said, "You might not have the capability to tell what's good from rotten, but not everyone's like you, Jeremiah. You fail to see what's good about Jae because there's something wrong with your head. You should make some time to swing by the hospital. There might still be hope for you. With that said..."
Eric trailed off into silence before adding in a mocking tone, "You're going have to stay behind bars for the foreseeable future. God knows how long it'll take before you can walk free again."
Jeremiah was thoroughly infuriated by what Eric said. Ego was everything to him. However, Eric proceeded to blast it to smithereens.
Jeremiah tried to shame me and brand me as a promiscuous woman, but it didn't work in front of Eric at all. All he could do was glare at Eric hatefully. If his vicious gaze could do some literal damage, he might stand a chance to hurt Eric.
Eric watched as Jeremiah stomped his foot in frustration. Then, he turned around and looked at the security guards at the door.noveldrama
"The verdict is over. Isn't a certain someone supposed to crawl back to where he came from?"
The security guards heard what Eric said and turned around to leave. Shortly after, a police officer with a righteous expression entered and signaled for Jeremiah to leave with them.
Jeremiah might not have wanted to leave, but he had no other choice. After all, his precious ego would be wounded again if he was forcibly removed.
Before he left, he turned around and looked at me. His tone was vicious when he said, "Just wait and see, Jane!"
Jeremiah didn't even dare to talk tough to Eric.
After he left, Elsa, who had been quiet the whole time, approached me.
It was strange. This time, she didn't glue her gaze on Jeremiah when he was being taken away. Instead, she stared at Eric, who was standing next to me.
Elsa continued to look at him as she asked in a delicate tone, "Are you really going to marry Jane, Mr. Flint?"
Her eyes were full of charm as she spoke. She even subtly showed him her alluring figure.
However, Eric didn't so much as bat an eye at Elsa. He asked nonchalantly, "What's the matter? Do you have something to say about it?"
Elsa frantically waved and adopted an innocent expression. "Not at all. I'm just happy for Jane. That's all. She has just gotten divorced from Jeremiah, and yet she has found herself an excellent man. I'm really happy for her. I mean it."
Elsa looked at Eric, who was standing behind me, as she spoke.
I was surprised to see an intense jealousy in her eyes.
Elsa might've made it sound like she was marveling at the fact that I managed to find someone as wonderful as Eric, but she was actually insinuating that I was a whore.
Elsa was infuriated by me, but she still had to maintain her image as a gentle and cultured lady. My lips couldn't help but curl into a grin at that.
With those words, Elsa finally

What Eric said next rained down on her parade, though.
"Jae and I are getting married, but what does that have to do with you? Geez. I'm feeling a little nauseous. I'm allergic to hypocritical ladies. Is there one such lady standing near me right now?"
Elsa's rosy cheeks immediately turned pale. She had always been proud of her affectation, and yet she was effortlessly called out by Eric. In fact, he was pretty brutal about it.
She immediately shook her head pitifully as tears came flowing out as if on cue. "How could you say that about me?"
What do you think?
