Remarriage You 489

Chapter 489 Say My Name

He had only spoken half of what he intended to, yet Lenora understood him perfectly.

Her cheeks flushed with color.

She truly didn't want to understand what he meant.

It was all Zachary and Sophia's fault. They had gradually led her astray.

Without hearing Lenora's voice, Zachary could still picture her insincere expression at that moment. He chuckled silently and said in a soft voice, "You've thought about it too, haven't you?" "I-I haven't..."

"I know what you're thinking... Be good. Now, slowly place your hands on your chest."

His voice was deep and resonant, like a devil from hell masquerading as a benevolent deity. He slowly led the innocent young girl astray, pulling her into an endless abyss.

For some inexplicable reason, it was as if Lenora was possessed, her body completely refusing to obey her.

By the time she came to her senses, her hands had already done as Zachary instructed.

The devil's voice echoed once more, sounding particularly clear in the tranquil bathroom.

"Rub them just like I did before..."

The bath towel had slipped onto the floor.

Lenora, however, did not pick it up.

Her breath unconsciously grew heavy, her eyes half-closed, and she lightly bit her lower lip.

The devil issued one command after another.

The steadfast young girl believed she was touched by the divine, diligently completing each task as required.

Sure enough, as the deity had predicted, she was on the brink of a climax.

It seemed as though Zachary had noticed her change, his voice growing increasingly hoarse. "Don't hold back your voice."

Lenora shut her eyes, her entire body trembling. Her legs nearly gave out beneath her as she let out a moan.

"Say my name."

After the lingering resonance, Lenora was panting heavily. She took a few seconds to regain her composure, her voice coming out delicate and soft. "Zachary." "Say it again."

"Zachary."

There was silence on the line for a few seconds. Lenora faintly heard a suppressed grunt from the other end, barely audible.

Silence began to spread.

Zachary had finished tidying up and sorting out his clothes when he glanced at his phone screen, only to realize that the call had been disconnected at some point without his knowledge.

A smirk played on his lips, and he pictured the moment when Lenora would come back to her senses. Filled with embarrassment and annoyance, yet too frightened to hear him speak again, she would likely end the call hastily, all meek and flustered.

Lenora, clad in a bathrobe, pinched a corner of the towel on the floor between her thumb and index finger. She treated it as if it were something filthy, tossing it into the laundry hamper before she made a swift exit from the bathroom. I must have been possessed just now, right? Otherwise, how could I have been so cooperative with him? That certainly wasn't me just now!

After blow-drying her hair, Lenora lay on the bed and closed her eyes. The image of what had just transpired in the bathroom immediately surfaced in her mind. Argh!

She bit her lower lip, covered her face, and turned over. D*mn it! Zachary is a male vixen! His tricks are certainly becoming more and more elaborate.

The following morning, after Lenora had gotten up, she glanced into the neighboring room. Ezekiel was still asleep.

Without disturbing him, Lenora had breakfast and then headed to the studio with her assistant.

After a hectic day, the filming finally concluded around seven in the evening, marking the end of the workday.

Upon leaving the studio, Lenora noticed Ezekiel standing not too far off, leaning against the wall as if waiting for someone.

Upon seeing her emerge, Ezekiel strode over. "Nora."

"Ezekiel? Why are you here?"

"I've come to pick you up after work. You really went out of your way for me last night. You're heading back tomorrow, right? Let me treat you to dinner tonight. Just the two of us." "I'd have to trouble you again."

"Why be formal? It's not often that you come to Jeahron."

Left with no other choice, Lenora handed over the camera bag to her assistant, instructing her to head back first.

"What are you planning to treat me to this time?" she asked.

"Let's try out a classic local restaurant."

Ezekiel opened the passenger side door, waiting for Lenora to get in. Once she was seated, he made his way back to the driver's side, got in and started the car.

"By the way, I didn't spout any nonsense last night, did I?"

"No. You fell asleep shortly after we got to the hotel."

"That's good, then."noveldrama

Once they arrived at the restaurant, they dined in. They chatted as they ate, and the atmosphere was surprisingly harmonious.

Somehow, the conversation had shifted toward Jasmine and Summer.

Lenora was taken aback. "Summer? Isn't she currently in Jacaster's detention center?"

"You're not aware? She's pregnant and on bail pending trial, currently staying at home to focus on prenatal care."

Lenora pursed her lips, utterly perplexed. "Why would she be pregnant?" she questioned.

She was aware that under normal circumstances, pregnant women could be released on bail instead of being detained. After the court's sentencing, both pregnant and breastfeeding women could be handed non-custodial sentencing. Simply by becoming pregnant and having a child, Summer could evade more than a year's sentence. If handled correctly, with the creation of a special medical record for her, she could even serve her a complete non-custodial sentencing. "She didn't say, but the child is already six months old now."

Lenora's mouth fell open in surprise. Wow! It seems it isn't a deliberate act to evade punishment.

"Ezekiel?"

Three men entered from the outside. The young man leading the group spotted Ezekiel and began to stride toward him, a roguish smile playing on his face. "You're having a meal here, huh? Who's this beauty across from you? Aren't you going to introduce us?"

The young man's smile didn't quite reach his eyes as his gaze swept over Lenora's figure.

Lenora frowned slightly.

The young man's gaze made her feel incredibly uneasy, as though she was being watched by a venomous snake.

"A friend." Ezekiel vaguely brushed past the topic, swiftly changing the subject. "How did you three find the time to get together?" he asked.

"Hah! Isn't this just typical of Nedley?

I warned him that the resort was

unreliable, but he insisted on getting involved. Now, he's trapped. By the way, you two aren't just ordinary friends, are you?" The young man's gaze swept between Lenora and Ezekiel, his eyes suggestive.

As he spoke, the man named Nedley Warren beside him revealed an awkward expression.

Ezekiel didn't respond to the young man's words. Instead, he simply said, "In that case, you all should go ahead and discuss thoroughly on how to resolve this." "All right. See you next time."

The young man bid farewell to Ezekiel, his gaze briefly sweeping over Lenora. He then followed his other two friends up to the private room on the upper floor.

As soon as he was out of Ezekiel's sight, his expression instantly turned cold, and his eyes were a chilling darkness.

Casting a glance at his retreating figure, Ezekiel turned to Lenora and said, "That was Jasper White, my cousin. He's Uncle Isaac's son."

Lenora paused for a moment.

After successfully clearing his name, Zachary made a successful counterattack. A key figure from the White family was expelled and handed over to the prosecutor's office for legal investigation and prosecution.

If her memory served her right, the man from the White family who lost his arm was indeed Isaac, Ezekiel's uncle.

Since his father was met with misfortune, Jasper would undoubtedly hate Zachary.

After they finished their meal, Ezekiel escorted Lenora back to the hotel.

Over at the Hoffman residence, Bertram was seated on the couch when he saw Ezekiel come in. His eyebrows shot up, and he asked, "Where were you last night? I heard you didn't even return to Springview Residences." Ezekiel had a condominium at Springview Residences. Occasionally, when he did not return to the Hoffman residence, he would stay there.

Ezekiel paused in his steps, his

expression unchanging as he

casually took a seat on the nearby couch. He asked the housekeeper to pour him a glass of water before responding in a calm tone, "Dad, I'm all grown up now. Isn't it natural for me to have some physical needs?"

"You..."

A hint of cold mockery flashed in Ezekiel's eyes when he saw the visibly upset expression on Bertram's face. At this point, a smirk was playing on Ezekiel's lips.

Ezekiel couldn't believe that Bertram was unaware of his whereabouts. It's merely a ploy to confront me. He's here to tell me that Lenora is my sister-in-law, so I should keep my distance from her.

"Hmph! You've seen what happened to your uncle, haven't you? Zachary is not someone to be trifled with. Yet, you still dare to find Lenora!" Bertram said.

Ezekiel curled his lips. "If you weren't so fixated on your other son, secretly pulling strings for him, Uncle Isaac wouldn't have ended up like this." Hearing those words at the top of the second-floor staircase, Summer paused momentarily before silently retreating back to her room.
