Chapter 745
Justin made the call and asked about the situation.
"Grace. They said they were 70% confident but required an in-person diagnosis."
Grace had already shed tears out of excitement when she heard the number 70%. She hurriedly nodded. "Okay! When can we go there for a diagnosis? Do we need to prepare anything? I'll be on it right away!"
Justin smiled warmly and patted her head. "Leave it to me. Just take good care of Austin. I'll inform you when the time comes. If things go smoothly, it should be in a few days."
Grace nodded vigorously. "Thank you, Justin."
After Justin left, Grace took Austin to the lawn outside the hospital.
"Sweetheart, Uncle Justin said there's a way to cure your illness. I know you've always been strong. You have to be strong this time, okay?" Grace asked gently. Austin still did not respond to her. She stared at the kite in the sky in a daze.noveldrama
"Austin, do you like flying kites?" Grace asked again.
Austin turned her little head to Grace and nodded.
Grace looked around. There was no place to fly the kite in the hospital, and she dared not take Austin out of the hospital alone.
After a second thought, Grace asked Austin, "Baby, I'll take you to fly a kite when you recover. What do you think?"
As she said these words, Grace's heart ached. She felt sorry for Austin.
'If Brian is here...' Grace thought.
Just as that face flashed across her mind, Grace shook her head.
At this moment, a voice called out to her. "Grace!"
Grace turned around.
Daisy carried a bag and walked toward Grace. "I went to the ward just now and didn't see anyone. Why are you here? The weather is cold now, and Austin might catch a cold staying outside for long. Don't you think?"
"Austin has been in the ward for a long time. I want her to get some air," Grace said lightly.
Daisy gazed at her and asked, "Where's Brian?"
Grace's eyes narrowed, but she did not say anything.
Looking at her, Daisy seemed to have guessed something. She asked surprisedly, "You broke up with him again?"
A mocking smile appeared on Grace's lips. "What do you mean again? We've never been together."
Daisy exhaled heavily. "Well, your daughter is sick. What should you do? Doesn't this illness need a bone marrow transplant? If you have another child with Brian, wouldn't yott be able to save Austin?"
Daisy looked anxious. "What happened between you and Brian? Did you quarrel with him again?"
Grace's brow knitted. "Me quarreling with him? Do you think I don't know what's good for me?"
"I-I didn't mean that. See, Austin's sick and needs to be saved. No matter what Brian did, forgive him."
Grace massaged her temples and said, "A bone marrow transplant is not a must for Austin's illness now. Justin has a way to cure Austin."
"Justin? What way does he have?" Daisy was curious.
Grace told Daisy about going overseas for treatment.
Daisy rolled her eyes and asked, "Going overseas for treatment? This newly developed treatment will cost a lot of money, won't it?"
"I don't know. But I'll save my daughter at all costs," Grace replied.
Daisy tensed up when she heard that. She knew Grace's temper too well. If Grace fell out with Brian, she would not spend a single cent from the Francis family.
"Then you'll have to sell everything you have!" Daisy yelled.
Grace did not respond to her and pushed Austin back to the ward.
What do you think?
