Curled Ear let out a sad roar. "Aman."

He and Aman were closer than brothers. When they first met, it was Aman who had saved him from a buffalo herd after a failed hunt, and they'd formed an alliance ever since, wandering together.

If their bond wasn't so strong, Curled Ear wouldn't have risked his life charging into the lion pride of Great Valley to ask Nyx for help.
"He's not dead; stop making noise," Felix said coldly, suppressing Curled Ear. "Don't disturb Nyx."
Feeling threatened, Curled Ear immediately fell silent, sniffling softly. His eyes remained fixed on Nyx, placing all his hope in her. If Aman died, he truly didn't know what to do next.
Nyx circled around and carefully examined the poor lion, and then looked up at Curled Ear. "What has he eaten recently?"
"Wild boar and rabbit." Curled Ear thought hard. "He also caught a bird, but didn't eat it."
Nyx looked around, her gaze settling on some mushrooms growing near a decayed stump. “Did he eat those?"
She initially suspected Aman was poisoned, and after checking, she didn't find any snake bites on him, so she suspected food poisoning.
There were many poisonous plants on the plains, but lions didn't typically eat grass and weren't that foolish. Either Aman had eaten a poisonous prey, or, out of curiosity, had consumed something toxic.
After this rain, a bunch of mushrooms had sprouted everywhere. Many were harmless, but some were poisonous, and it was hard to tell just by looking-this was the most likely source of the poison.
"No," Curled Ear said, looking confused, "We know not to eat these things."
Mushrooms were never on the lion's menu, and they weren't hungry enough to eat something bad.
Without thinking, Curled Ear denied it, but then suddenly remembered something and widened his eyes. “Wait a minute. Maybe he ate one. When Aman was catching the rabbit, he accidentally bit a mushroom, but I didn't notice if he spit it out."
Curled Ear ran towards a clump of yellow mushrooms nearby, looking completely harmless. “This one.”
With just one glance, Nyx was sure-it was indeed poison.
She quickly scratched some shapes of plants on the ground with her claws and urged Curled Ear, “Hurry and find them. Once you do, feed them to him right away.”
The herbs she drew were all easy to identify. As long as Curled Ear wasn't foolish, he wouldn't make a mistake.
After briefly parting from Curled Ear, Nyx ran back to her territory and pulled up some other herbs.
When she returned to Aman's side, Curled Ear was already back, desperately stuffing the herbs he found into Aman's mou'
Fortunately, Aman hadn't lost consciousness completely and could barely open his eyes, swallowing the bitter herbs.
“Feed him more,” Nyx said, putting the herbs she brought aside and urging Curled Ear to finish feeding Aman the ones he had found.
Curled Ear did exactly as she said, not daring to stop for even a moment.

Then, Aman suddenly started vomiting, violently, which startled Curled Ear. He turned to Nyx, his eyes filled with panic.
"It's fine; it's normal” Nyx reassured him calmly, "Feeding him these herbs is to make him vomit,"
After Aman had vomited most of what was in his stomach, Nyx asked Curled Ear, “Can you carry him?
"We'll take him to the river to drink water: Curled Ear looked a little troubled.
He wasn't as big as Aman, so while he could move with Aman on his back, he was stumbling and unsteady. “I'll do it,” Felix said, stepping in to take over.
Curled Ear suddenly understood why Felix was the king here,
Watching Felix carry the burden with steady steps, Curled Ear hung his head, swallowing nervously.
He had once dreamed of challenging Theon and Felix with Aman, but now, looking back, it seemed ridiculous.
After a round of intense vomiting, Aman started to regain some awareness. When they reached the river, without much prompting from Nyx, he instinctively bent down and began drinking large gulps of water.
“Eat a bit more of this," Nyx said once he couldn't drink any more, offering him more of the herbs. Remembering the disgusting, bitter taste and the pain of vomiting, Aman hesitated, but when he met Nyx's dark, gleaming eyes, he couldn't bring himself to refuse and ate as told.
After a few bites, he immediately vomited it all out again.
After repeating this a few times, Nyx finally decided it was enough. Aman's face had turned ashen.
She watched as Aman shook his head when he saw the next batch of herbs she offered.
“Eat it,” Nyx said firmly, her tone unyielding in the face of his resistance.
Under her intense gaze, Aman stiffened, lowered his head, and reluctantly picked up a few herbs, chewing them with a pained expression.
It was gross.
Seeing him obediently take the medicine, Nyx softened her tone. "Don't think you're fine just because you've thrown up. You still need to eat some detox herbs, rest for a few days, and drink plenty of water every day."
She didn't just warn Aman; she also reminded Curled Ear to make sure he kept an eye on the patient and ensured he took his medicine.
Curled Ear nodded enthusiastically, gazing up at her with complete admiration. “Thank you."
Just by making him throw up the toxic stuff, Aman's condition visibly improved. At least his stomach wasn't hurting so much anymore.
Aman hadn't eaten too many poisonous mushrooms. Thanks to the timely rescue, Nyx's fears of severe liver and kidne damage didn't come true.noveldrama
With his tough constitution and will to live, Aman didn't die and gradually began to recover.
Nyx ran around for a few more days, found more detox herbs, and went to check on Aman.
"How have you been feeling these past few days?" she asked Aman.

Hearing her voice, the lion, lying down, suddenly opened his eyes and stared at the sinall lioness in front of
him, his gave full of gratitude and admiration, unable to look away,
He didn't snap out of it until he heard Felix's threatening growl, shuddering slightly. “I'm, I'm fine”
He finally confirmed it was not a dream. He thought, ‘So Nyx really did come to see me.
Over the past few days, his dreams had been filled with the beautiful figure of the lioness.
Sometimes, she would gently scold him to eat the herbs, other times she would speak softly with him, and occasionally, the would simply lie quietly beside him, keeping him company.
Even though it wasn't the rainy season yet, some unexplainable thoughts kept lingering in his mind.
Nyx, completely unaware, pointed seriously at the herbs she had just brought and reminded Aman, “Eat two of these every day, don't forget."
"Okay,” Aman said, once again lost in thought, staring at her.
Felix shot a cold glare, and a growl rumbled in his throat, warning again.
Hearing the sound, Nyx turned to look at him, thinking he couldn't wait any longer. "Let's go, Felix. Let's go
hunting."
They had been busy digging up herbs all day, so they were definitely hungry by now.
Seeing her pure, innocent face, as though she didn't even realize Aman's feelings for her, Felix sighed in relief
and felt much lighter.
This happy feeling lasted all the way until the next morning.
The cool, dewy drops fell onto Nyx's nose, and she stretched out in the arms of her mates, shaking her fur comfortably as she woke
1. up.
The male lions looked down at her, thinking she was adorable no matter where they looked, and they just couldn't get enough of her. "Nyx, what do you want to eat today?"
Before Nyx could answer, two other male lions suddenly roared from the edge of the territory, calling her
name.
