Of The Bea 293
Yaya scolded them, "Shut up, you two."
After being scolded, Amy and Wendy, the two young lionesses, pouted, "We were just saying the truth."
There had been lions in the Great Valley Pride who died from broken legs.

One of their younger brothers had been like that, his leg bitten off by a crocodile. He had a fever that night and passed away a few days later.
"If her leg could heal, I would-I'd go get her a wild buffalo," the two young lionesses boasted.
They didn't believe that those green, bitter herbs could really help.
They thought it was just extra suffering, eating bitter herbs before dying-better to eat some tasty meat while they could.
The more emotional they got, the louder they spoke without realizing it.
Nyx raised her eyes and looked at them.
Immediately, the two young lionesses froze, quickly shutting their mouths as they realized how inappropriate their words had been.
Thankfully, Nyx didn't hold it against them. She silently turned her head and returned to Theon and Felix's side.
She knew the two young lionesses didn't mean any harm. They had no ill intentions toward Sasha.noveldrama
They weren't cursing her, they were just skeptical about the herbs working and had blurted it out without thinking.
The other ones, including Sasha, didn't speak up but probably thought the same thing in their hearts.
In truth, Nyx wasn't completely confident either.
Sasha's injury wasn't a small one-her leg wasn't the only thing broken, she had several other bites too. The bone could heal, but the wounds might get infected, and she could still die at any time.
Even though Nyx had a lot of veterinary experience, there wasn't much she could do without proper
resources.
The plains were harsh, with no advanced medical equipment or even basic antibiotics from Earth. She had done her best, cleaning Sasha's wounds and getting her the herbs for healing and eating. The rest was up to Sasha's own strength to survive.
Theon hugged Nyx while Felix helped fix her fur, which was a bit messy from running around earlier.
“She'll be fine," they both said at the same time, their voices full of certainty, even more confident in Nyx than she was in herself.
Nyx was the smartest lion, and since she could treat herself when she was young, she would definitely heal this injury too.
Hearing her mates' gentle whispers, Nyx felt reassured and slowly relaxed, closing her eyes.
In the middle of the night, she woke up suddenly. After everything that had happened, she was physically and mentally exhausted. Once her tense mind loosened, she quickly fell back to sleep.
Theon stayed by her side the whole time, and Felix went to take a bath, cleaning the blood off him. He returned with a mist

of water around him, offering Nyx a bit of coolness as she slept.

It was just getting light. Nyx still had Sasha on her mind and opened her eyes early,
She carefully moved away from her mates, not wanting to wake them up. But the two male lions had already woken up before she was even fully awake.
"Where are you going, Nyx?" Felix asked lazily, opening his amber eyes and rolling over to pull her back into his arms.
The newly awakened lion spoke with a sensual, throaty voice, his chest pressed against Nyx's, vibrating slightly.
Nyx shook her ears uncomfortably. "I'm going to check on mom."
A whole night passed, and Sasha's condition was stable for now.
Its body temperature was normal, and its breathing was steady.
It was just that it had lost a lot of blood, so it didn't have much energy, and its body felt weak.
"How is it?" Yaya asked nervously.
Nyx's expression softened, and his tone became relaxed. “It's good. The chances of recovery are very high.” The lionesses formed a circle, all looking at Sasha with disbelief.
From their experience, Sasha should be burning with fever right now, and its consciousness was probably unclear.
But it only looked a little weak, and the bleeding from its wounds had already stopped. It didn't seem as badly off as they had imagined. It almost looked like what Nyx said-it could recover.
The two lioness exchanged a glance and swallowed nervously. They thought, 'They aren't really planning to catch a wild buffalo, are they? They don't have the strength for that. Why could they recover even after being so badly injured?
'Could those weird flowers and plants really be useful?? If we'd known, we wouldn't have boasted so much.' With these thoughts, they looked worried and regretful.
“Yaya, let's go catch a wild buffalo," they muttered to each other and then cheerfully surrounded Yaya. "No, we're not catching a wild buffalo," Yaya immediately saw through their plan.
They figured that if they just followed the group and caught a wild buffalo, they'd have kept their promise. She thought, 'Dream on. It isn't going to be that easy.
Yaya decided to make things a little harder for them and teach these two loose-lipped lionesses a lesson. "What does Sasha like to eat?" she turned to ask the lionesses from the Red Mountain Pride.
"Waterbucks?" Although they'd been living together for a while, the lionesses from the Red Mountain Pride weren't entirely sure what Sasha liked.
Most of the time, they didn't get to choose; they ate whatever they caught.
Yaya nodded confidently. “Okay, then we'll go catch waterbucks."
The lionesses didn't hunt every day. They had just hunted yesterday, so there was no need to hunt again
today.

But to take care of the injured and provide nutrition, Yaya cheerfully led the group to hunt.
Despite grumbling about their bad luck, the two lionesses, Wendy and Amy, eagerly followed Yaya's lead to hunt.

They genuinely hoped Sasha would get better. Of course, they thought it would be even better if they didn't have to catch a wild buffalo.
The lionesses from the Red Mountain Pride were very grateful to Yaya and the Great Valley Pride, and they showed extraordinary bravery during the hunt.
Even though it was their first time cooperating, they quickly fell into the rhythm of the Great Valley Pride.
With the two prides merged, there were so many lions that one waterbuck wasn't enough. The lionesses brought back two waterbucks.
"You two go feed Sasha," Yaya instructed Wendy and Amy. "From now on, Sasha is your responsibility to take care of. As long as you take good care of her, you don't have to catch wild buffaloes."
Upon hearing this, the two lionesses felt like they'd been pardoned. Without any hesitation, they happily tore
off a piece of meat and headed straight for Sasha.
Nyx stood on the big rock, watching them for a while.
Although these two lionesses were a bit careless, they were surprisingly competent when it came to taking care of the injured. They were very reliable.
They not only fed Sasha meat but also somehow managed to get large leaves to carry water to her.
Lions that could use tools were, of course, clever, but leaves weren't exactly the best containers. Water spilled along the way, and they could only carry a little bit at a time.
But the two lionesses were incredibly patient, taking turns running to the river and tirelessly bringing water to Sasha until she was full..
When they finally took a break, they stayed by her side.
After being so carefully looked after for a while, Sasha's condition visibly improved.
Nyx changed her bandages and cleaned her wounds every day, doing everything he could to reduce infection
and inflammation.
Thanks to her strong physical condition and excellent luck, she managed to pull through. Aside from the broken leg that still couldn't move, the other wounds were mostly healed.
Even Sasha herself found it unbelievable.
She had no idea where Nyx had learned such skills.
As her mother, she didn't know these things, nor had she ever taught her. Even the two male lions didn't seem
to know as much as she did.
Sasha couldn't figure it out no matter how much she thought about it.
Regardless, surviving was, of course, a good thing.
After Nyx declared that Sasha was out of danger, she was elated for days. But once the excitement wore off and she looked at her still-immobilized, unusable broken leg, her mood darkened again.
She thought, 'What is the point of surviving? A crippled lion, unable to participate in hunts, is nothing but a
useless burden,

merely clinging to life.'

"Don't overthink it.” Wendy and Amy reassured her cheerfully. “Worst case, we'll just take care of you
forever?
They had been looking after Sasha all this time and didn't find it difficult at all. It was meant as comfort, but to Sasha, it only made her feel worse. Her mood remained low.
Right now, the pride had no real survival pressure, and giving her an extra share of food was no trouble.
But once the rainy season arrived and a new batch of cubs was born, when Wendy and Amy became mothers themselves, caring for her would no longer seem so easy.
If an emergency happened and food became scarce, not only would she be unable to contribute to the hunt, but she would also have to shamelessly rely on others, becoming a burden to the pride.
As Nyx changed her bandages, Sasha spoke in a low voice, "Nyx, don't lie to me. Will my leg really heal?"
She suspected Nyx was just saying it to comfort her.
Nyx lifted her head, met her gaze, and nodded. “Of course, it will.”
Before, she hadn't been entirely sure, but now she could answer with confidence.
Sasha's leg was healing steadily, though bone recovery took a long time.
"Before the rainy season comes, your leg will be back to normal," Nyx promised after careful consideration.
Sasha was skeptical. But having a deadline at least gave her something to look forward to. No matter what,
she thought life had to go on.

The lionesses of the Great River Valley pride were skilled hunters and generous in nature. They had provided for Sasha for months without a hint of impatience.
Wendy and Amy also remained devoted to their care. They had gotten used to the responsibility and were genuinely prepared to take care of Sasha for a lifetime.
Over time, Sasha slowly came to accept her disability. She started learning about different medicinal herbs from Nyx and no longer spent her days wallowing in despair.
One morning, Nyx assessed Sasha's recovery, then gently removed the wooden splints and vines that had been holding her leg in place. "Mom, you can try walking normally now."
At first, Sasha froze in stunned disbelief, wondering if she had misheard. “Walk? Really? On all four legs? You're not joking. are you, Nyx?"
Wendy and Amy immediately started shouting in excitement, loud enough to draw the attention of the entire
pride.
