"Rose," Yerick said as he pulled out a gadget from his pocket. "Do you see this?"

He then pointed at his throat, on which a tiny wound could be seen. "Do you see this, too?"

He went on, "This little thing was implanted in my throat, and I can imitate any voice I want. I invented it myself. Aren't I smart? Rose, do you want me to implant this in your throat, too?"

Yerick drew closer to her as he spoke.

"Don't come close," Rosalie said, but she couldn't retreat any further. "I don't want that thing inside me!"

"Oh, I see. I won't force you, Rose. Come eat."

"Yerick, who exactly are you? What's your motive for getting close to me?"

Yerick looked down and sighed. "Since you're bent on knowing the upsetting truth, I'll tell you. Yes, I deliberately tried to get close to you. I'm Wesley Spencer's illegitimate son."

Rosalie was very shocked. "You're his illegitimate son? Who's your mother?"

"My mother, haha..." Yerick chuckled, and told Rosalie about her.

Rosalie fell silent after hearing him out, unsure of what to make of the entire situation. She didn't expect Wesley to have such a past.

"So, you're doing this for revenge?"

"I'm just seeking justice for my mom. The one who caused her death is still alive and well, but she had to die in pain. I was abandoned in an orphanage, bullied and beaten up all the time!"

Yerick clenched his fists.

"The only motivation that kept me alive was to make the Spencers pay the price. I want everyone related to them to suffer. I got close to you because I know Theodore loves you. Having you under my control is to have him under my control. All of you are under my control. Oh yes, Cynthia and Aurora all serve me. I bribed them to do dirty things for me, especially so I could drive a wedge between you and Theodore."

Rosalie glared at him. "Everything you did was just to make Theo suffer because you hated him for having everything in life?"

"That's right. I hate him! We're both my father's sons, but why did I have to wander outside without them even knowing of my existence while Theodore got to be the young master of the family and eventually the CEO of SK Enterprise? It's absolutely unfair!"

The look in Yerick's eyes turned dark.

"Since the heavens have treated me so unfairly, I'll seek justice for myself. Everything that has happened goes to show that I have what it takes."

"You madman! What wrong did Theo do? He doesn't even know of your existence, and he's a victim himself! Your past wasn't a result of his wrongdoings," Rosalie said.

Yerick was truly frightening, and he seemingly had everyone's lives in his hands. Such extremely intelligent yet wicked people were the most frightening.
