Sebastian straightened out his jacket and left the meeting room. He immediately headed to the lobby with a few bodyguards in tow.

Justin stood waiting at the entrance, with the baby in his arms.

Sebastian approached him with his entourage and demanded, "Justin Lynch, what do you want?"

Justin immediately stuffed Steve in Sebastian's arms. "Take care of him and don't let any strangers near him. If you care about Rose, protect her baby well."

Sebastian furrowed his brows and looked at him suspiciously. "What are you doing? Where's Rose?"

"Something has happened to her. She's in Yerick Zeller's hands, and I've got to find her. You should too. Use any resources you can get your hands on."

Justin pulled out a thumb drive from his pocket.

"Rose installed pinhole cameras in her apartment. These are the footage I managed to retrieve. Take a look at them. I'm off to find her right now." With that, Justin turned to leave.

Sebastian didn't have time to digest what Justin threw in his way out of the blue. However, Justin had already stepped into a car and driven off. Sebastian held the thumb drive in one hand and turned to look at the baby in another. Worry filled his eyes as he carried the baby back to his office.

By the time Rosalie opened her eyes, the sky had turned dark. Her head was pounding, and she sat up with great difficulty. She found herself in a room, on a bed.

She stumbled off the bed and looked out of the window. The lights at the entrance were still on, but she couldn't see what was outside under the dim lighting.

"Rose, you're awake." Yerick walked in with some food. "Quick, eat something. You must be famished."

Rosalie looked at Yerick in shock and immediately leaned against the window sill, fear in her eyes. "Where are we?"

"Rose, this is where I live. No, this is our home. You'll be living here from now on."

"Are...are we in another country?"

"Of course not," Yerick said.

"Although I want to take you abroad, we still have many things to settle here. We can't leave just yet. After settle everything here, I'll take you overseas where we can truly be by ourselves."

The innocent look on Yerick's face made it seem as though they were really siblings.

He placed the tray filled with food on the table.

"Rose, come quick. You can't go on an empty stomach. Women who just gave birth must have nutritious food. It's good to gain some weight. You're too skinny, Rose. You don't lookdike a woman who just gave birth. Quick, come. Let me help you gain some weight."

"How's my child?"

"You mean Steve? Since you're so worried about him, why didn't you bring him here? You chose to leave him there."

Rosalie shut her eyes in pain.

"Oh yes," Yerick said, as if thinking of something. "The police called you today. Why did the police come knocking on your door right after we left?" Sweat beaded on Rosalie's forehead. "You received a call from the police?"

installed a police alarm system at home which alerted the nearest police station. It's so strange. Why was the police alerted the moment we left? Did you trigger the alarm when I wasn't looking?"

Rosalie was frightened into silence.

Yerick walked toward her and said, "Rose, that's not right of you. Why didn't you tell me about the police alarm you installed at home? I didn't even know about it. Thankfully, I was prepared and called the police back."

"What did you tell the police?" Rosalie asked.

By right, the police had to contact the victim and ensure that the victim was fine. How did Yerick convince them of that?
