Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1251

"I'm sorry, but we're already divorced. There's nothing you need to know about me, and I didn't ask Seb for a single cent either. If there's nothing else..."

"Ms. Young, don't worry." Chandra cut Rosalie off, with clearly no intention of leaving. "You should know that if I were to kick up a fuss over what happened at the private room before, you'll certainly be implicated?"

Rosalie frowned. "Are you really going to do that?"

"That depends on what you'll do next. You seem to care much for that kid. Even if I can't target you, I'll be able to target him. Do you want me to do that?"

Rosalie sat back down. "What exactly do you want?"

"I've made it clear that I just want to get to know you better. If you answer my questions properly, I can pretend nothing happened. Otherwise, I have all the means to make things difficult for him."

"What do you want to know about me?" Rosalie asked coldly.

"I did a quick check on your background. After your parents passed away, you were taken in by the Spencers and married Theodore Spencer but subsequently got divorced. The baby should be Theodore's, I suppose?"

Rosalie's silence confirmed Chandra's guess. "He doesn't know it's his?"

"Are you going to tell him?" Rosalie asked.

"Why would I tell him? I don't even know him well. You naturally have your reasons for not telling him," Chandra said.

"Miss Fisher, what exactly do you want? Why are you so interested in my affairs? What do you want from me?"

Rosalie didn't think that Chandra was a reasonable person, but she felt as though she had become a completely different person.

"What is your relationship with your parents like? Do they treat you well?" Chandra said; her tone sounded careless, but there was a seriousness in her eyes that was not obvious at first glance.

"They treat me very well, like I'm their blood and flesh."

Chandra's lips twitched ever so slightly as she asked, "So you're not actually their flesh and blood?"

"Miss Fisher, how does knowing about me benefit you? Why must you..."

"Answer my question. Are you their biological daughter?"

Rosalie knew she had blurted out the truth just now and had no choice but to admit it. "I'm adopted and I only just found out about it."

"Who are your biological parents?"

"I have no idea," Rosalie said.

"Have you thought of looking for them?"

Rosalie answered, "I tried, but I failed."

"Will you continue trying?"

"I'm not sure," Rosalie said. "They abandoned me, and that proved they didn't want me. Why should I find them? should just forget it since I can't find them. I don't have much affection for them, anyway

"Wherever my baby and I are at is our home. Another person's home has nothing to do with me. It's not my home."

Determination laced Rosalie's voice and attitude.noveldrama

Chandra's face stiffened but she forced a smile and said, "You're right, but have you ever thought that perhaps your parents might have been facing some difficulties? Perhaps they..."

"Miss Fisher," Rosalie said with

furrowed brows, looking at her

Chandra suspiciously, "What do my parents have to do with you? If you continue asking me such questions, I'm going to suspect that you might know who they are. Otherwise, why did you suddenly come knocking on my door today asking me all these questions?"

Silence ensued in the room.

Chandra stood up and said, "You're right. I shouldn't have asked you all these questions. I'll make myself scarce. Goodbye."
