Alpha's Second Chance

MADELEINE

Noah is looking at me with serious eyes, so I do as he says and sit up. I look at him, and I am trying to stay calm, but I am getting worried.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I felt breaches of borders happening last night, but I could also feel that no one was attacked. So whatever they were after or trying to do, I don't know yet." He tells me slowly.

"Wait. You said breaches, but was there more than one?" I ask

"Yes." He says, looking at me, and I realize he said of borders, not the borders.

"It was not here," I say and look at him.

"Only one of them. The two others were at my mom's old pack, and the last one was at." He says, and I stop him and say it before he can.

"At my Dad's pack," I say quietly.

"Yes. But as I said. No one was attacked or hurt. And Dad sent warriors there for extra protection. We will keep your family safe, I promise." He tells me, and I nod my head.

"Do you know what they were after?" I ask, and he shakes his head.

"No, but we will find out." He promised.

We sat here, talking for a while, and tried to think about what could be the reason. But no matter what we came up with, it led to me. Noah was getting angry and started pacing the room, walking back and forth.

Then he stopped, and his eyes showed me that he was in a mindlink.

"Dad is asking if we can come to them. He wants to talk to us." He says, and I nod my head, getting out of bed.

After a quick shower, I got dressed, and we walked home to Logan's and Olivia's home. We walked inside, and Noah called out. We heard Logan call back and say that they were in the living room.

Walking in, we saw Logan and Olivia, Enzo and Noah's sister Rose, and Kyle and his wife Kate. Last was a man I had not seen before, but his aura screamed Alpha. As we were about to sit down, I heard a voice I had not heard for about a week now, Dad.

He came into the room, and I ran to hug him, and he hugged me back. Then we all sat down, and Logan stood up.

"Alpha Louis and Madeleine, you do

not know Alpha Carter. He is the Alpha of the Dark Forest Pack, the pack Liv grew up in. And it was one of the packs that had a breach last night.Dasked you all here because Carter gave me some important information." Logan tells us and nods his head to the man, Alpha Carter.

"Hello, I am honored to meet you both, and I thank you for the warning about the breach. When King Logan called me, + immediately got my mind on a request I had from

someone from another packel

two weeks ago. I was contacted by aman that most of us here know very well, and this man is Romeo." Alpha Carter tells us.

First, the name seems familiar, and then I remember. He is the one who rejected Noah's sister before she found Enzo. But he is also the brother of the she-wolf that Noah rejected at the ball months ago.

"It is no secret that my dad, over the years, gathered a lot of information about wolves with gifts. I asked King Logan if he wanted it all to go here~~~ for safekeeping, but he decided to trust me with it. I have not let anyone get access to any of this, and I was not about to let him get it either, so I denied his request. And now we had a breach to our borders." Alpha Carter ends his speech.

"Is it possible that he did this? But why. I don't have any gifts." Rose says.

"But I do," I whisper. But they all heard me and looked at me.

"Well, I do, and Noah rejected his sister. That could be a motive and a reason to breach Dad's pack." I say a little louder, and they all look at me.

"I think you are right. It would make sense. We know the rejection angered him, but we don't know what happened after. But this makes sense. I will call his Alpha and see what I can find out." Logan says and then looks at Carter.

"If the offer still stands, I think we should move that information here." He says, looking serious.

"Whenever you want it done, I'm more than happy to move it here. But now we know someone wants it, and we need to be careful." Alpha Carter answers, and Logan nods his head.

"I will come as protection, and my power beats any wolves. And probably much more than just wolves. And if this has anything to do with Madeleine, I cannot sit here and do nothing." Noah says

"I will come two. With the two of us, no one will dare attack." Enzo says.noveldrama

And in the next hour, a plan was made. I also helped Olivia and Rose make dinner for everyone while they finished the details. All this time, my mind was going crazy, and I felt like this was my fault. Stupid, annoying special gift.
