Alpha's Second Chance

I had fallen asleep and woke up because the baby kicked me. I caressed my stomach and whispered a few words. When the baby had calmed down I checked on Noah, but he was still unconscious, and I was really worried about him.

"Noah, wake up please," I whispered. And I actually saw him move on his hand.

"Noah." I try again but this time, he doesn't react.

I sit back and begin searching my own mind as I feel more like myself.

'Kaila.' I try in my mind.

'I am here.' I hear her weakly response to me.

'Oh, thank god, are you alright?' I ask her.

'I am weak, and the wolfsbane is hard to fight. But I will be okay in a day or two.' She tells me.

'Okay, I won't ask too much of you, but please don't leave me all alone." I beg her.

'I won't, I promise. They were here when you slept, one of them took a picture.' She tells me.

'Probably so they can send it to Enzo or Dad.' I answer, and she agrees.noveldrama

'They talked about the Alpha coming. I'm guessing it is their Alpha. The one from Italy.' Kaila says.

'Yes, most likely.' I agree.

"I need to rest, but I am here.' She tells me, and I feel her pull back.

I sit here for what feels like hours when I feat footsteps arrive to wherever we are, I hear them talk but can't hear the words. Suddenly, there is yelling from someone powerful. You can hear it in the voice.

"You stupid idiot, you sent this? Don't you think her mate will recognize you? How can you be so stupid to make a picture, and not be sure that they can't see you? I hope for your sake they will be more focused on the bitch and her brother." The voice yells. And the voice seems familiar.

I looked around and noticed the cracked mirror close by. Has the guy been so stupid that he got caught in a picture? I had no doubt that they would notice Dad or Enzo.

Then I heard the whisper of a feminine voice, and Kaila growled in my mind. I had a good idea that I knew who it was. Mia.

"Rose." I hear a weak whisper, turn my head to Noah, and see his eyes are open.

"Noah I whisper and get as close as I can.

"No, be careful. There are wolfsbane all over these." He whispers.

"I know, oh God. Noah, I am so sorry, I'm so sorry mine and Enzo's mess have brought you here." I whisper.

"Don't sweat it, sis, a few chains won't kill me. It's just uncomfortable." He whispers with a weak smile.

"Don't joke with me right now Noah, please." I bag him. And he looks at me with soft eyes.

"I will be okay. I promise." He says.

The doors open, and a giant shadow covers the light outside the door, and he walks inside.

"I see that the so-called true king is awake. I had expected more of a king who is supposed to rule over every exciting wolf in the world." Alpha Carlos says as he looks at us.

"And here is the girl that everyone seems so obsessed with." He continues. "What do you want from us," I ask him.

"I don't want anything from you. You are only the bait. What I want is for your obnoxious mate, and father who thinks he is smarter than us all. To suffer, but just how much I have not yet decided." Carlos says and laughs.

Mia comes in and stands next to him. She looks at me with eyes I can't figure out, and she doesn't say anything. One of the men who was our capture came in and bowed for Alpha Carlos.

"It is done. I buried him." He says quiet.

"Good, idiot exposed himself, so now he can ho meet his friends he keep moaning about," Carlos says, and I try to hide my shock. He, just like that, killed one of his own men.

"Make sure they get food, she is after all, pregnant," Mia says quietly, and Carlos sends her a glare, but then puts a fake smile on.

"Yes, make sure the princess is getting food." He says, and they leave the room.

I hope Dad and Enzo will find us

soon, I have & feeling that Noah and

I are not meant to survive this. Like Carlos just said, we are just the bait. It doesn't take long before Carlos's man comes in with two toasts with cheese on them and puts them in front of me. Leave again

"Here, brother you need to eat," I tell Noah as quietly as I can and hold one of the

toast to his mouth. But he doesn't want to.

"No, the woman was right. You pregnant, you need more than me." He whispers weakly.

"But you need food." I insist.

"You can give me some next time. Eat." He tells me, and I sigh but do as he says, not wanting to worry him.

It is quiet, and the room is getting darker, so it must have gotten dark outside Noah murmurs to me until I fall asleep again. Maybe I'll wake up this time and see it's all just a really bad dream.
