When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 489

Lemira knew Caspian was desperate to partner up with her because he couldn't bear to lose everything he had built.

For Caspian, the thought of handing over the company to Evelina was worse than a dagger to the heart. It's only when the boomerang hits you that you realize how much it hurts.

Caspian finally spoke, "What are your terms?"

"My terms are simple. Transfer all your company shares to me."

"Lemira, have you lost your mind?"

Caspian couldn't believe what he was hearing. "If I give you all my shares, then what's the point of all my efforts? It would all be for nothing."

"Didn't you say you'd do anything to make it up to me, as long as I don't sue?"

Lemira's gaze was full of mockery.

Caspian was momentarily speechless. "But I've worked so hard to get the company to where it is today."

"I know, but you can use Asher's shares. And you'll still be the star of the show. No matter how you look at it, you're in a win-win situation."

"Lemira, when did you become so greedy?"

Lemira stepped closer, her voice low and haunting. "Me, greedy? Without my hard work and scripts,

would your company have thrived like this? I'm only asking for what I deserve."

She once thought of staying away from the Langstons.

Not anymore. She wasn't naive anymore. What was rightfully hers, she would not let go easily.

She turned around. "If you don't agree, forget it."

"You won't get anything either."

"But at least I won't be ruined. I can find other ways. But you won't have that chance."

Lemira's eyes shimmered with sarcasm, betting Caspian couldn't afford to lose.noveldrama

Sure enough, a few steps later, Caspian's voice followed her. "I agree to your terms." His voice was filled with defeat.

Turning around, Lemira saw the

once arrogant Caspian leaning against the wall, his posture

slumped, a far cry from his previous demeanor.

After a moment, Caspian approached her. "We need to work together to ensure Asher can no longer control my company."

"So, you no longer fancy running a company with your dear Asher?"

Caspian managed a bitter smile. "If Asher is blinded by Evelina, I can't just throw myself into the fire."

He couldn't let his hard work be stolen.

Asher, protecting Evelina as he does, shouldn't expect any favors for his company.

Soon, Caspian's agent arrived with outfits for the evening event.

After dressing up, Lemira noticed

Caspian in a suit, still wearing a mask t to cover the scars on his face. At first glance, he looked no different than usual.

Lemira said, "This will only offend Asher. Do you think Rowan will still perform the surgery for you?" She knew Rowan was a skilled surgeon.

Asher held sway in the Langston family, after all, financial power speaks volumes.

"Rowan isn't like that. I've told him everything that's been happening at home. Not everyone is fooled by Evelina."

Is that so?

Lemira's eyes were laced with irony as she looked out the car window.

Her hand brushed her waist, remembering how in her past life, she had donated a kidney to Evelina.

To her, all the Langstons were the same.

They soon arrived at the venue.

Lemira took a deep breath. In her previous life, when she learned about this screenwriters' exchange event, Evelina had already been trending as the most talented, screenwriter, stealing her script.

What could she do?

She could only watch as Evelina took everything from her, leading her to a point of no return.
