Zayn was waiting for her, so she should've been on the way. However, she couldn't just abandon him at the hospital.

After some hesitation, she asked, "Ethan, are you from Crestwood?"

"Yes."

"Do your parents live in Crestwood?"

Upon hearing that, a flicker of sadness passed through his eyes. After a brief pause, he put on a smile. "They passed away when was very young. I've been staying with my uncle ever since, but we were never close. When I was 16, I moved out and started living on my own."

She didn't expect him to have such a sad past.

If that was the case, she couldn't leave him alone at the hospital.

She knew all too well the feeling of being alone and not having any family or friends around in the hospital. Even the most optimistic person could sink into despair in that situation.

"That's right. Is there something you would like to eat? I'll get it for you."

Ethan's eyes lit up. He showed a shocked expression and asked, "Are you sure?

returned yet. When Josephine left the ward, she asked a nurse to keep an eye on Ethan before heading downstairs to buy some fruits.

At the same time, she sent Zayn a message.

another day."

Josephine replied, "It's someone you don't know."

When she arrived, George was already inside. She overheard him saying, "The doctor said that you have to stay for treatment.

"It's best if you stay overnight and be discharged tomorrow. Someone has to stay with you in case something happens to you."
