Chapter 0978
Miranda’s biological clock woke her naturally at dawn. She got up, freshened up, and changed into her clothes.
She had a class in the morning, but it was still very early. Miranda headed to the kitchen to check on the oatmeal she had made using the electric slow cooker last night.
Steam billowed out as soon as she lifted the lid. The fragrant aroma of oats wafted into her nostrils immediately.
Miranda took a taste with a spoon. The taste was just right, and the texture was perfect. She turned off the power and set the oatmeal aside.
Since there was still a small bag of flour at home, she decided to make savory pancakes. First, Miranda had to prepare the toppings.
She chopped onion and garlic finely. Then, she mixed them with tomato sauce and some herbs. After adding water, she fried the mixture until it became fragrant.
Miranda added some sugar, spices, and seasoning for flavor before removing the toppings from the pan. She set them aside to cool.
Next, she took out the bag of flour and poured about a pound into a bowl. She added some salt to increase the elasticity of the dough and mixed it evenly. Then, she divided the flour inside the bowl into two halves.
One half was mixed with lukewarm water to form loose crumbs, while the other half was mixed with hot wat

After mixing, the dough was left to rest for five minutes. When Miranda kneaded the dough again, it was smooth and non–sticky.
Miranda let the dough rest for another 15 minutes, while she prepared a small bowl of oil.
Once the dough was ready, she rolled it out with a rolling pin to ensure even thickness throughout. Miranda matched the size of the dough to her electric griddle. Any larger, and it wouldn’t fit.
Then, she brushed a thin layer of oil evenly over the dough and cut the round dough into eight wedges. She folded each wedge inward toward the center and formed compact shapes before letting them rest for another five minutes. Afterward, she pressed them out and rolled them flat again.
Finally, she placed the pieces of dough on the griddle to cook.

griddle.
She made two pancakes, cut them into small pieces, and divided them into
four portions. Then, she neatly packed them in separate lunch bags. After cleaning up the kitchen, Miranda noticed that the milk was already warmed. She changed into her shoes and got ready to leave.
Just as she was about to knock on the door across the hall, it opened from the inside. Paul was already dressed and ready to go. Miranda suspected that he had been lurking behind the door, timing his appearance perfectly with her coming over. Otherwise, how could he always get the timing just right?
Paul said, “Let’s go.”
He was heading to the lab, while Miranda was going to class on campus. They were conveniently on the same route.
As they neared the campus gates, Miranda pulled out a portion of breakfast and handed it to him. The savory pancakes were packed in a lunch bag with a bottle of perfectly warmed milk.
“It smells delicious…” Paul couldn’t help but swallow his saliva in anticipation.
But then, he glanced at the bag and noticed there were still a few more portions left.
“Ahem! Who are the rest for?”
“Madison and Sebastian.”
“Oh…”
“Why do you sound disappointed?” she asked with a smile.
Paul rubbed his nose. “I thought they were all for me.”
“Pfft! Could you finish them all even if I gave them to you?”
There were three portions in total, and she had even packed extra for Madison. They walked through the gates and parted ways at the crossroads.
Miranda headed to the academic building and found her classroom. Just as she sat down, Madison and Sebastian arrived.
“Miranda!” Madison bounded up to her. Her smiling face suddenly appeared in front of Miranda, like a blooming sunflower. “It smells delicious… What did you bring?”

Miranda took out the breakfast. She handed one portion to Madison and asked her to give the
other to Sebastian.
Madison quickly sized up the two portions with her eyes and kept the larger one for herself without hesitation.
