Chapter 740 Get A Friend in a Foreign Country
Victor went home and gave Sonia the food he packed for her. Sonia asked while eating, "Did Dixon take you there?"
Victor paused, "Yes, why?"
Sonia's eyes were complicated, as if she was in pain, but also as if she was relieved. "This restaurant... It was the first time we went out to eat together after we got married. But halfway through the meal, Dixon got Maria's call and left me sitting alone in the restaurant to finish the pile of food I ordered."
After saying this, Sonia laughed self-deprecatingly. Poking at the food, she said, "At that time, I was a joke to everyone sitting in that restaurant. Going out for a date but being left alone by a man in such a fancy place, I guess I'm just not that lucky to have a usual date..."
At that time, she watched Dixon leave with what kind of emotion? And how did she play the whole scene to the end alone?
Victor froze, not expecting that there was such a story behind this restaurant. Habit and memory were really torturous.
When she thought about it now, she still felt a vague pain even though she was relieved.
Victor said softly, "I didn't think it would remind you of sad things. If it's hard for you, then these dishes..."
"It's okay."
Sonia smiled, "It's not about the food. Besides, I've let it go. Anyway, it's just the past."
Watching Sonia eat, Victor suddenly asked with some emotion, "Actually, that night, Dixon asked me to tell you that he missed you and wanted to be with you again."
Sonia's gaze wavered.
"But I didn't dare to ask you outright. So I asked some questions to test whether you and he would still have a future." Victor confessed, "Mom, I respect all your choices."
Sonia looked down. However, holding the fork, her hand was trembling.
A young voice next to her was saying, "There is a man who will wait for you at the end of time. He might, and he will."
But how should she respond?
"If he dies, will you shed tears for him?"
Suddenly, Victor asked in a different light, "After all, I heard that his kidneys are likely to have problems. If one day he really leaves this world, mom, will you be sad?"
"I will be sad."
Finally, Sonia looked Victor in the eye and took a deep breath, as if she had used all her strength, "I would be sad. Because he is the man I once loved so much."
This was enough.
Victor grinned a little, "He gets your recognition. He might have no other wish in this life."
Late in the night, all emotions went up in the smoke.
Victor went to get a passport and his image photo. After that, Victor was picked up by Dixon and brought back to W City. Sonia was waiting for him at home. When
he came back with all the contracts and documents, Sonia was a little excited, "Are you all set?"
"Yes, I'm leaving for London next week."noveldrama
Victor handed the contract to Sonia, "Look, this is the agreement with the show. Take a look."
"Dixon should have checked it for you, right?"
Sonia took it and casually read through it. Dixon would definitely help to keep an eye on it. So, there might be nothing wrong with the contract.
"Well, I'm a contracted artist for the show now. And you're the mother of a child star."
Victor looked at Sonia smugly, "Does it feel like you're instantly super proud?" "Hmm." Glancing at Dixon, Sonia then said to Victor, "I'm proud of you."
Time passed quickly. It was time for Victor to fly to London. That morning, Dixon came to pick Victor up and sent him to the airport. Standing at the door watching them leave, Sonia was still in a trance for a moment.
It seemed that nothing had happened, but they were getting along so well.
Getting into the car, Dixon drove Victor to the airport, telling him a lot of instructions along the way. Victor laughed and said, "I won't lose my way." Dixon said, "If you get lost, I'll turn the whole world upside down to find you."
"Then it's a deal."
Victor held out his little finger and hooked Dixon's, "If one day I disappear, you must find me. Be sure to come and rescue me."
"Sure." Dixon hooked Victor's little with great force.
This action was like a foretelling.
Later, when Victor was in a foreign country and had no way to get help, Dixon came to him like help from above, rushing to him from the storm and holding his tender hands tightly.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the
airport. The director's team was waiting for Victor. And when they saw him and the imposing Dixon behind him, they instantly lowered their posture and led Victor to the green lane, "Oh! Victor, you're here!
"Have you had breakfast yet? Do you need me to get you something?"
Victor was being led by Dixon. They were standing side by side, like a beautiful scene. The people around them were holding their breath as they passed by. Because Dixon, the tall, thin man, had a very powerful aura. They did not dare to provoke him...
"He's so handsome..."
"His genes are too good, right? I'm so jealous..."
"Keep your voice down. I feel like he looks so aloof..."
Victor went to get his boarding pass. And after the security check, Dixon couldn't walk further with him. So, he just stood there and watched Victor go with the crew. Then, Carney came up and asked in a low voice, "Mr. Borris, do we do it now?"
Dixon raised his eyebrows and raised a meaningful, wicked smile, "Do it now."
That night, Victor got off the plane. He had arrived in London. As soon as he entered a foreign country, he automatically had a very strange feeling. This feeling was new and fun. But because he was alone, he also had some melancholy.
Fernando, the main director, walked in front of him. He led the group into the hotel to check in. Victor walked in the middle of the group. In the hotel lobby, there were several kids from other countries waiting. When they saw them, they all rushed up excitedly to say hello.
"Hey!"
The kids were followed by a bunch of agents. "Are you the kid named Victor?" Some agents asked.
Victor nodded politely in response. Then he motionlessly averted his eyes and asked Fernando to help with the check-in process. Then a boy, clearly from J Country, with dreadlocks came to him and said, "Hi, I've heard of you."
"Thanks."
Victor replied to him and then greeted him in Japanese, "It's my pleasure to meet you."
The boy was startled and subconsciously replied in his native language, "Sure. The pleasure is mine too. How many languages do you speak?"
"Fluent in three."
Victor smiled and reached out for a handshake with that boy. Then he said, "I'm self-taught in Japanese. So, I'm not proficient. If it won't be your bother, I would like you to be my teacher, please."
What do you think?
