Chapter 832
Chapter 832:
The woman suddenly became very serious with Elizabeth, “A man who has cheated on his wife can never be forgiven.”
Armand took the tidy documents out of his office and turned to the woman, “Everything is ready. Let’s go.”
“Where are you going?” Elizabeth suddenly panicked, afraid that Armand would leave her.
The woman got up. Armand tried to calm his grandmother, “We have some business to take care of. I’ll be right back. Please wait for me here.” He winked at the receptionist, “Please keep an eye on her for me. Don’t let her go out. I’ll be back soon.”
“No! You can’t leave.” Elizabeth tugged on Armand’s arm.
“Ma’am, don’t you want me to reconcile with Armand?” the woman asked intentionally. She wanted Elizabeth to stop bothering Armand.
Elizabeth was surprised and replied, “Of course, I want you to reconcile.”
“Okay. If so, please stay here and wait for us. We’ll go out and do business, okay?”
Elizabeth hesitated for a moment and nodded, “Okay. You should be back as soon as possible.”
Armand patted her and replied, “Sure. We’ll be back soon.”

He stood up and gave his client a look, “Let’s go.”
They walked out of the firm together. The woman said, “Mr. Bernie, I always thought you were a good man. I seem to have been mistaken.”
Armand looked at her, “What do you mean?”.
The woman smiled, “You should know yourself.”
Armand opened the car door without explaining anything. He had no relationship with this client. They were now only working together.
They were back at the firm soon enough.
“Your husband should receive the court summons very soon. To prevent him from doing something extreme to hurt you, it’s best that you don’t stay with him,” Armand told the client.
“I have already collected my belongings before I leave today. I’m staying in a hotel for the time being. When I get divorced and have ownership of the apartment, I’ll move back in.” The woman seemed quite rational.
Armand nodded, “You should be careful.”
“Thank you, Mr. Bernie.” The car was parked in front of the law firm. The woman pushed open the door and got out.
Earlier, Theresa arrived at the law office and checked that Elizabeth was there. That’s why she didn’t go in, but waited for Armand at the door.
She saw his car come in. Then she stood on the steps.
A woman got out of her car, but Theresa had no emotional change after seeing that. She looked very calm.
Armand, however, was not as calm as she was. Seeing her standing there, he unconsciously explained, “That’s my client. We just went to court.”
Theresa said, “You don’t need to explain anything to me. You’re free to do anything.”
Noticing her indifferent and cold tone, Armand couldn’t help but feel quite frustrated.
The woman glanced at Theresa and looked at Armand. She said, “I’ll be going now. By the way, I don’t expect you to make any mistakes just because of your personal life.”
“Please don’t worry…,” Armand said.
As the woman was about to turn away, Elizabeth saw her. She shouted at him, “Don’t go!”.
Elizabeth powered her wheelchair and set out to go after the woman.
Armand stopped her, “Grandma, let’s go back.”
“We can’t go back. Take your baby. You’ve made her suffer once. Do you want to do something bad to her again?” Elizabeth pushed Armand’s hand away and went after that woman, “Theresa! Theresa, please forgive Armand.”
The woman turned around and happened to see Theresa’s surprised look.
The latter seemed quite surprised that Elizabeth called the woman by her name.
When Armand saw Theresa and immediately explained, the client could roughly guess that it was Theresa whom Elizabeth kept mentioning.
Pointing to Theresa, the woman said, “This is Theresa. You should talk to her.”
“I’m not a fool. She can’t be Theresa.” said Elizabeth affirmatively with a confident look, as if denying that she was a fool.
The client didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.noveldrama
Because Elizabeth was an older person, she looked at Armand, “Shall I go with Mrs. Bernie? You will be able to talk to this lady.”
Armand looked at Theresa and said to his client, “Okay. Thank you very much.”
“As long as you make an effort on my case, of course, I’m willing to do you a small favor.” After she finished talking to Armand, she said to Elizabeth with a smile, “Mrs. Bernie, shall we have coffee in the coffee shop across the street?”
Elizabeth’s eyes widened, “You can’t leave her, Theresa. Otherwise, the bad woman will jump at the chance.”
At the mention of ‘bad woman,’ she shot a glance at Theresa, implying that she was the bad woman.
Elizabeth tugged on the woman’s hand, “Theresa, I know you have suffered much. You were wronged. You should give Armand a chance to right his wrong.”
As she spoke, Elizabeth’s eyes reddened, “I know it was all our fault. You were kidnapped by Phoebe Lewis, but Armand and I were safe and sound. You… you lost your baby and you were so badly hurt….. Oops… Why are you still pregnant?”
Elizabeth suddenly looked up at the woman. Whiteness filled her reddened eyes. She sensed something was wrong, but she couldn’t remember anything.
She kept wondering what had gone wrong.
She clutched her head, “Where am I now?”
Armand approached her and pushed her into the reception room. As he passed Theresa, he asked, “Would you wait for me for a moment?”
Theresa nodded, glancing at Elizabeth, who looked rather long-suffering.
Armand spent some time calming Elizabeth down. Then he asked the receptionist to keep an eye on her and left.
“Let’s go talk in the cafe across the street,” Armand said.
Theresa said yes.
They entered the café and found a quiet corner to sit in. A waiter came over and asked, “What would you like to order?”
“A cup of American coffee. How about you?” Armand looked at Theresa and asked.
Theresa replied, “A glass of water would be fine.”
Armand said to the waiter, “That’s all. Thank you.”
“Okay, Sir.”
The waiter left. They remained silent for a moment. Armand took the initiative and asked, “How have you been lately? You’ve lost a lot of weight, I can tell.”
Theresa looked down, her eyelashes quivering slightly, “I’m pretty good.”
For some reason, they became quite polite with each other, not as intimate as before.
Armand’s hands under the table tightened and loosened from time to time. After a while, he said, “I forgot to take out the agreement drawn up a moment ago. I’ll call my partner to get them.”
As he spoke, he glanced at Theresa and wanted to see if she was reluctant and still loved him for his expression .
