Chapter 816
Chapter 816
Only God knew how terrified Hera was earlier. Yes, she had pretended to be extremely charming just now.
Hera also believed she had gone mad by allowing her desires to overtake her, leading her to sleep with Bernard.
She had met many handsome men before, so why wasn't she able to resist Bernard this time? Perhaps he was simply far too outstanding. He was also rather good in bed.
Hera wasn't someone who did casual sex, nor was she very conservative. Since she already had sex with Bernard, she would consider it a passionate one-night stand in Jadonia. Besides, the country was huge. There was no guarantee they would meet again, so there wasn't any need to feel awkward about it.noveldrama
After washing up, Giselle changed into a clean light yellow dress and even sprayed some perfume. Once certain that she was free of the smell of sauces, she finally headed to Room 1666 on the hotel's highest floor.
Truth be told, Giselle was quite terrified of Bernard, but she enjoyed the attention that came along with being his niece. The feeling of being flattered by others was what she always wanted.
Although Giselle knew that she was making a fool of herself, she enjoyed the attention. After all, Hera would never come back. Even if she did, Bernard had forgotten about her. It wouldn't matter at all.
The only woman Bernard cherished could only be Giselle. A smirk formed on her lips with that thought in mind. As she was about to ring the doorbell, the door suddenly opened from inside, and a woman stepped out.
It was a woman. Since when did Bernard have a woman by his side?
As Hera walked out, she noticed Giselle and turned back to gaze at her. One glance at Hera left Giselle completely startled.
Hera?
She was back?
Wasn't she dead?
Why was she back?
Was Hera only a figment of Giselle's imagination?
With that in mind, Giselle pinched herself hard on the thigh and winced at the pain.
Hera merely casually cast a glance at Giselle before walking away immediately.
Giselle became suspicious upon realizing that Hera had walked away as if she had no idea who she was. Giselle only looked slightly more mature after five years and hadn't changed much.
How could Hera not recognize her? Was this woman merely someone who looked like Hera? Even so, the resemblance was far too striking.
What if this woman was Hera, but she couldn't remember who Giselle was?
Many questions crossed Giselle's mind, so she couldn't help but ask Hera, "Don't you remember me?"
Hera paused to look back at Giselle. Her mind went blank as she was unable to recall who Giselle was. However, Giselle seemed to know who she was.
"Do you know me?" Hera asked, perplexed.
Giselle noticed the confusion in Hera's gaze and was certain that Hera did not remember her at all.
"We used to be classmates in high school. Don't you remember me?" she asked tentatively. Hera had no idea who she used to be in the past. Even her name and identification number were given by Vanta. Thus, there was no way she remembered any of her high school friends. Hera nodded indifferently. "Anything I can help you with?"
Giselle noticed that nothing was amiss with Hera and figured that she must have truly lost her memories. Giselle was secretly joyful, and sinister thoughts began to cross her mind. It was easier to handle if Hera remembered nothing.
"Nothing," Giselle replied with a smile.
Theo hurried over and happened to spot Hera and Giselle talking to each other. Since Hera did not remember Giselle, she also had no idea who Theo was and brushed past him without any hint of recognition.
What do you think?
