The Untouchable Ex-Wife

Chapter 2203

Chapter 2203

It was sarcastic.

Amber admired her father, but he never took her seriously. At most, he regarded her as an inferior woman who could only support her husband and brought no value.

Amber suddenly realized that her pathetic life wasn't the outcome of her character or someone else's fault. Her fate was long decided since she grew up in such a family with such a male chauvinist as her father.

"Mr. Jenkins, you can't say that!" Liam snapped.

He understood Amber. She looked delicate but had unique thoughts and ambitions. However, she did not have the chance to show herself.

Finally, Liam raised her self-awareness. She could boldly express herself and realize her true self. She had yet to do anything, so it was infuriating to see Benjamin put her down.

"Stop being so old-fashioned! Men and women are the same. You kept praising me, saying I was smart and good at doing business. But Renee is more awesome than me. We established Azure Group together, and she spent a lot of effort on it. Its current output is way ahead of other similar companies. Plus, it can even compete against Hunt Enterprise....

"Plus, she was a top scholar. The thesis she published was greatly praised by Newrest Magazine. And..."

Liam kept recounting Renee's glorious resume and couldn't stop.noveldrama

Flabbergasted, Benjamin was confused by those technical words. He had no idea what Liam was talking about.

He snarled icily, "What do you mean? What does it have anything to do with you betraying me and fighting against Macsen?"

"I mean, you can't look down on women! Women are awesome too. Similarly... Amber's great. As long as you trust her and train her well, she'll be more successful than any men you adopted!"

Liam said so much because he hoped that Benjamin could stop being such a male chauvinist. He should be nicer to Amber and give her more chances.

He didn't have sons, but he adopted four men because he looked down on his daughter and felt that she couldn't take over his business. In short, he looked down on women.

"Stop joking..." Disheartened, Amber laughed at herself. "He knows me well and knows that I can't do anything, so he never taught me anything men do. All he asked me to do was learn house chores and finance. That's my fate.

"Women are born weaker than men in terms of their bodies and abilities. Not every woman can act like Ms. Everheart. She can study, do business well, and invent things. The greatest use for ordinary women like me is to find a good husband and support him to be a useful man."

Benjamin's abusive words ruined all of Amber's confidence. She felt like she was just a clown. Her dreams, ambitions, self-awareness, and the idea that women and men were similarly capable were nothing but jokes!

"Gem, why are you disheartened again? You can't give up on yourself," Liam said anxiously. He had finally helped raise her self-awareness. She had yet to rise, but she was already dispirited. If she marry someone else eagerly later, it would drive him mad.

Amber ignored Liam and said to Benjamin, "Dad, I'll remember what you said. I'll always obey you from now on. But the conflict between Liam and Uncle Macsen was just an accident. Can you stop and let them go?"

"You're still pleading for them? You're so disappointing and useless!" Angry, Benjamin vented his wrath on Amber. "Tie her up! I want her to see how much those people care for her even though she begged for them!"
