The Sway and Slide of Love

Chapter 612

Hendrix had no choice but to return upstairs.

On most days, Noelle and Rosie's routine was the same-they would go out in the morning and again in the evening. By around 11:00 am, Noelle would usually bring Rosie back for lunch and a nap.

But today, they didn't return.noveldrama

It wasn't until evening that Hendrix finally heard movement across the hall. He immediately opened his door. But what he saw was a group of unfamiliar men.

His expression darkened instantly. "What are you all doing here?"

The sudden sound startled the group of men. They turned to look at Hendrix, confused. "And you are?"

"What are you doing here?" Hendrix asked again, his tone impatient. "Are you here to fix the wiring? Do you really need this many people to fix one wire?"

"No, we're here to move some things," one of them replied.

Hendrix's eyes narrowed slightly. Then, he asked in disbelief. "Move things?" "Yeah." The mover double-checked the unit number. "Block 5, Unit 904. Yep, this is the place."

As he spoke, the mover used a key to open the door.

This time, Hendrix didn't stop them. He just stood there, staring blankly at the scene before him. It wasn't just disbelief-he simply didn't know what to do. He felt as if he had been abandoned right after experiencing the happiest day of his life.

Hendrix slowly retreated back into this apartment.

The screen in front of him continued flashing with various data. What would normally excite him now felt completely dull and lifeless.

He stood there with his eyes downcast. After a while, he finally picked up his phone and made a call.

"Find out where Noelle moved to."

It seemed she had anticipated he might try to stop her, which was why she hadn't even shown up to pack her things all day. Instead, she had left everything to the

movers.

Hendrix stood at the doorway, watching as the movers carried out Noelle's belongings box by box. He hadn't even been granted

permission to enter her apartmel.ne

yet it was being empti

now

Then, he suddenly recalled Noelle's reaction last night. He had thought she was starting to accept him. But now, he realized he couldn't be more wrong. The truth was, she simply didn't care anymore. After all, she was about to move out and didn't even feel the need to inform him.

But how big could this city be? With everything digitized these days, Hendrix was

able to obtain her rental information. She had moved to an apartment complex nearby.

...

Noelle had been busy and exhausted

all day. She had actually checked out

this apartment before, but for

various reasons, she hadn't been

able to make up her mind. However,

last night's events had finally pushed her to make the decision.

Fortunately, the landlord was very accommodating, and the apartment was fully furnished, ready for immediate move-in.

Noelle had originally planned to pack her things herself, but she really didn't want

to see Hendrix, so she hired the movers to handle it instead.

This time, she was also more cautious. While the movers were busy, she even pretended to make a phone call, asking when the person on the other end would arrive.

"The movers are almost done, and you're still not here? You're really taking it easy, huh, honey?" she said as she watched the movers bustle around.

They didn't seem to pay any attention to what she was saying, simply handing her the invoice after finishing the job.
