Chapter 16 – Feelings
LAURA
It has been 6 weeks and 4 days since Liam surprised me with the room, he had made for the twins. I
was shocked, but I also know he did it because he felt bad for what Danielle had done. I had not seen
any girls here since that incident. And we had spent time researching to see if there were any records
of healing scars after silver. And I didn’t know how to thank him for making the room or the time he
used otherwise to be with me or help me. One day we were sitting outside in his garden when the pups
kicked. He got so worried, but I calmed him down, took his hand, and placed it on my belly. His eyes
had become big and h e sat down on his knees, before placing both hands on me, looking amazed as
he promised the pups to take care of me.
I tried to help him in another way. There had been a big rouge attack and a lot had been injured, so I
helped take care of the pups of the wolves, that had a mate or other family, that needed them.
Today I am with pups at age of 5 to 12 and I hide jade in different treasure hunts one for the younger
ones and the other for the older ones. I had 2 warriors looking after the older group while I went with
the youngest. I have hidden 10 clues around inside and just outside the packhouse. The pups are
running around, laughing, and having fun. As we go to enter the house one of the kids gets a little too
excited, and nearly manages to trip me but a pair of strong arms, wraps around me making sure I stay
on my feet. I look up and look into Liam’s soft eyes.
“Careful! Are you okay Laura?”
“Yes, thank you. I think they got a little too excited, we are looking for the last clue and treasure.” I smile
a t him and he smiles back.
“Just be careful.” He smiles.
“I will be.” I smile back.
He lets go of me and I find myself missing the feeling when he had his arms around me.
LIAM
I was on my way out of the packhouse when Laura and a bunch of small pups come running inside.
One o f the pups forgets to look where he runs and nearly trips her. Luckily for my extra hood senses
and high reaction, I catch her in time and lock her safely into my arms. When I am sure she is okay I let
her go and she continues, the treasure hunt she has made for the pups. Before I get to leave I hear a
few older members talk.
“She is a sweet young woman that girl that lives in the king’s house.”
“Oh yes, I saw her before the attack. I wasn’t well and she insisted to help me home. Put my groceries
away and jade me tea before she left.”
“Yes. I heard her mate was an Alpha, but that he betrayed her.” A third say.
“Poor girl. Where did you hear?”
“A volunteer at the hospital.”
“Poor girl, maybe she will be lucky to find true love here.”
I leave the house, walk home and think about Laura while I am walking. While walking I suddenly feel
someone come up behind me putting a pair of small arms around my waist. Turning around I see it is
Camile, a she-wolf from the pack that I sometimes call. Camile is another she-wolf that was rejected by
the wolf that the goddess mated her with. I know these she-wolves are with others from the pack as
well. but as a wolf, we don’t catch the different diseases that humans often do. So if u are an unmated
wolf w e don’t really care.
“My king.” She says seductively “Camile, Let go.” She does as told.
“My king, can I help you with anything?” she tries to step close to me, but I stop her.
“No, now leave.”
“But my king, I miss being alone with you.” She purrs.
“Camile I won’t say it again. Leave.” She looks disappointed but leaves.
Entering my house I go to my room and undress before going to the bathroom and stepping into the
shower. I am hard from thinking about Laura and need to do something about it. I still don’t understand
fully why I feel the way I do. Standing in the shower I stroke my hard cock, thinking about Laura
remembering how soft her skin is, and how her body looked perfect with her curves, the night I found
her. Even though the situation was bad and serious, I couldn’t help but notice her perfect breasts and
slim body with little curves in all the right places.
“Fuck.” | growl to myself when I release, all over the shower wall.
‘We want her.’ Shadow growls.
‘We can’t Shadow.’ He growls at me.
‘She wants us as well.’
‘We don’t know that.”
‘She is so close to being pure,’ he tells me and I laugh.
‘Shadow she is pregnant.’
‘I know that asshole. I am just saying that she only ever was with that dickhead a few times and that
she never really felt real pleasure from it.’
“How do you know.’
‘Kali:
‘Well, not much we can do about it. She might want us, but I don’t think so, not after everything that has
happened’ I tell him while wishing I was wrong.
I realize I have slowly fallen for Laura. But all I have done is bring her more pain. And while I was years
sure I did catch a scent I haven’t yet smelled, without being sure, I think it was the delicious scent of
her arousal when she was in my arms. I had been so close to holding her tighter, taking her to my novelbin
office, and making her scream out my name.
