Matthew said as he drove, "Alright. You did pretty well today, so thanks for that."

Suddenly, Levi let out an indescribable expression. "You don't have to thank me. What they did was really outrageous. How could they hide the formulas used to save people?"

Levi wasn't trying to brush Matthew off with his words he meant it

wholeheartedly. His father might have passed away from high blood pressure, but he was still alive and needed the Liverlight Pill.

If Silvaris Pharmaceuticals were to continue manufacturing it again, he would be one of the people who would benefit from it.

The car stopped by the entrance of the City Hall and Levi got out of the car. After he watched Matthew drive away, he took a deep breath-finally, he had escaped a nightmare.

Levi proceeded to head into the building, and he just so happened to meet Cedric in front of the office. He smiled and greeted him. "Mr. Moore."

Then, Cedric waved at him and said, "Follow me."

Levi wasn't quite sure why Cedric was looking for him, but seeing the grim expression on the latter's face, Levi concluded that it must have been a huge issue. He followed Cedric into the office with much confusion.

After they were both seated, Levi tentatively asked, "What are your instructions, Mr. Moore?"

Then, Cedric pondered for a moment before he said, "I just wanted to give you a reminder regarding your involvement with Mr. Grant.noveldrama

"Though there might be someone who'd speak up and cover for you, I'd advise you to stay away and avoid provoking him. Otherwise, I'd cut ties with you."

Levi froze as he listened to Cedric. He had been working with Cedric for a very long time now, but this was the first time he had seen Cedric get mad and say such words.

At this point, Levi suddenly realized that Matthew's identity wasn't all that simple.

But now that his father had passed away, and there was no one to back him up, Levi didn't dare to challenge Cedric anymore. So, he said, "I'll keep that in mind, but you talk as if Mr. Grant has quite an extraordinary background. Care to share them with me?"

Cedric shook his head and said, "I can't. But I'll say this-even I don't deserve to know who he really is. If it weren't for the information leaked by someone from above, I wouldn't have known that there was such a big shot in Lambda City."

Levi was surprised. According to Cedric's words, he could tell that Matthew was definitely a big short-he was an even more significant person than Levi had imagined.

Upon coming to a realization, Levi kicked himself for severing ties with Matthew. He regretted having missed the chance to associate himself with Matthew when they had been in the same boat earlier.

In the suburbs, there was a woman who sat by the roadside in a panic. Her name was Helen Barnes, and she was a maid who served the Fuller family.

Due to the events that had happened earlier today, she was still recovering from the shock and couldn't quite get up to walk.

Helen originally worked as a maid for the Fuller family located in Mistvale City, but because her culinary skills were marvelous, Kenneth brought her back with him.

The Fuller family was a prominent family, and they were all hot-tempered people who'd set a ton of rules. Sometimes, they would string out a few curses and scold her every now and then.

It was a pleasure for Helen to work for them because of the money she could earn, but deep down, she wished that the Fuller family would disappear completely.

Now that something like this had happened, she didn't know what to do, and she didn't dare to return home to Mistvale City either.

While Helen was brooding over her worries, the sound of her ringtone cut through the air. She then looked at the phone screen and took a deep breath before she answered it.

"Hello?" There was a male's voice that sounded from the other side in surprise. "Oh... You're still alive?"

Immediately, Helen attempted to explain in a fright, "I... I didn't mean to hide it from you, Mr. Fuller."

The person on the other end of the phone was Edward Fuller, Kenneth's third uncle. He usually appeared to be cold and intimidating, but in reality, he was even more ruthless than he appeared to be.

Helen had personally witnessed Edward's brutality when he broke the legs of a chauffeur. He was so vicious that she would cower in fear every time she came in contact with him.

Not to mention the fear she was overwhelmed with as of now because of the incident that happened to Kenneth earlier, though it was merely a phone call.

She could hear the fury in his tone when he said, "Why didn't you report back to us? Tell me what happened exactly-I'll break your legs if you lie or try to hide anything from me!"

Helen was so frightened that her hands began to tremble. "I'll tell you. I won't hide anything. Someone named Mr. Lancaster brought a chauffeur over...

"Then, I heard gunshots upstairs and ran out because I was scared. Once I was more than ten miles away, I saw that the villa was set on fire. I'm telling the truth."

Edward quickly caught onto the

main points Mr. Lancaster, and the chauffeur who attacked Kenneth. Then, he said, "I'll send you an address, so meet me there. I'll arrive at Lambda City in two hours

After Helen had hung up the call, she felt even more uneasy at the fact that

Edward was coming to Lambda City.

Meanwhile, in the conference room at Wealthwave Group, Rachel sat at the head of the table with an icy look.

"What are you doing here, Mr. Henderson?"

The executives from Silvaris Pharmaceuticals all exchanged glances with Richard before the latter spoke, "I'd like to know what we would be manufacturing since our formulas are gone."

Then, Rachel replied coldly, "The formulas will be retrieved very soon."

She believed that Matthew would be able to bring the formulas back very soon- Rachel put a lot of blind faith in Matthew.

Upon hearing that, Richard sighed, "Ms. Carter, you're way too optimistic. There's

no way we can retrieve our formulas once they've taken them away.

"We would know because the same thing happened to Elysium Pharmaceuticals, Lambda Pharmaceuticals, and several other pharmaceutical factories. They've never gotten their formulas back, so there'd be no hope for us as well!"
