The Great Medical Saint

Wyatt sat in the room calmly. He scooped some coffee powder into a pristine coffee pot and added some fresh water. Next, he added condiments to the coffee

pot.

Finally, he added boiling water to the coffee pot, and steam started escaping from its spout. The room was filled with a faint coffee aroma.

When Wyatt finished everything, he took his time and said, "I already said he's a bigwig. He doesn't have time to just sit around and wait for you. I'm going to be straight with you today. Your status doesn't cut it. You're already lucky to be here. Forget about getting the formula."

Matthew coldly remarked, "Are those your words, or did your boss say that?"

Wyatt replied with a scornful look. "The big shot wouldn't waste their time talking to you. Just look at you. He wouldn't even bother to glance your way."

Matthew kept a blank expression. He didn't want to complicate things before meeting their higher-ups. "So, when is the big guy coming?"

Wyatt raised an eyebrow. "You can't wait any longer, can you? Fine. I'll reach out to my boss. I'll crush that hope of yours once and for all."

With that, Wyatt picked up the phone and chatted for a bit before hanging up. "He's on the way, but I've got to warn you to not get your hopes up. He won't even spare a glance at you."

In no time, the door opened. An old man walked into the room, and Wyatt immediately got up to his feet.

"This is the guy looking for you, Mr. Murray. I told him that he's not even qualified to show his face in front of you..."

He was halfway through speaking when his voice trailed off, shocked by the scene unfolding before him. Jerome figured Matthew had already left, so he decided to visit Matthew another time and rang up Wyatt.

Walking into the room, he was surprised to see Matthew and excitedly shook his hand. "I thought you left, Dr. Grant! I can't believe you actually came back. This is great."

Puzzled, Matthew looked at Jerome. "Are you the big shot Wyatt was talking about?"noveldrama

Jerome waved his hand. "Big shot? I'm just your patient, Dr. Grant."

Matthew narrowed his eyes. "Are you the one who took the formula from Silvaris Pharmaceuticals?"

Jerome was shocked that the miracle doctor he had begged for treatment actually came here to deal with this matter.

Flustered, he hurriedly explained, "It's not me. That's a misunderstanding. I swear it wasn't me. You've got to trust me."

Next to them, Wyatt couldn't believe his eyes. What the hell was going on? Why did Jerome explain himself to Matthew? And why did he look so nervous about upsetting Matthew?

Jerome was the director of the public health department. He acted way too

humbly. What was Matthew's story?

Matthew sounded solemn as he spoke. "If you didn't take Silvaris

Pharmaceuticals' formula, why did Wyatt tell me to come to you?"

Jerome sighed. "I'll just say it outright. The higher-ups sent me here. I really hope

you don't hold this against me."

Matthew went to the table and fixed

his cold gaze on Jerome. "Don't bother explaining. Hand me the formula, or don't be surprised when I stop playing nice."

But... Jerome was on the verge of snapping but he had to hold it together, because he needed.

Matthew. Still, that didn't discount the fact that he was a director with

status and authority.

Worse yet, an outsider like Wyatt was right there. Matthew sounded like he was reprimanding an underling, which was hard for Jerome to take.

"Please don't get mad at me. How about I help you get in touch with the boss?"

Beside them, Wyatt blankly watched the scene unfold. Did Jerome say "please" to Matthew? That was insane.

Matthew coldly snorted. "Stop wasting time and reach out to them. I want the Silvaris Pharmaceuticals' formula today."

Matthew had a hunch that there was more than one person involved in targeting Wealthwave Group. It might be a group of people.

The situation was more complicated than he had imagined. Matthew wanted to get to the bottom of it. Who were these people? What were they after?
