The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 490

Finally, the outcome was determined! Now that the medical literature belonged to Matthew, he also relaxed a lot. He casually said, "Where's your proof to say that I've cheated?"

Immediately, Caleb flushed a deep red that ran down his neck. He glared at Matthew furiously as his expression twisted in anger.

Matthew then said coldly, "What are you looking at? You're not gonna be a sore loser, are you?"

All of a sudden, Caleb began to grin. "I never thought that you'd cheat in my presence, but you're still too young.

"Did you think I wouldn't know that your card was supposed to be a Six of Clubs? You switched it out for a Five of Clubs. To think you cheated right under my nose!

"You're asking for trouble by showing off in front of me, an expert!"

Matthew had long known that Caleb was capable of card counting, which was why he had switched out the Six of Clubs for a Five of Clubs at the last minute.

It was all set for the final outcome, and nothing could be changed anymore. But now, Caleb was blatantly admitting that he was card counting.

"My cards haven't been revealed even once before this, and you could only see the back of it, so are you admitting to card counting? Are you admitting that you cheated?"

Caleb then put the medical literature into his pocket and shrugged.

"I originally planned to win a little money from you because that would be the best outcome for you, but who knew that you'd choose to cheat? Don't blame me for being rude when you're the one who's asking for it!"

As he spoke, Caleb held onto the table and fiercely pushed it toward Matthew. The table flipped over and crashed into Matthew, but he stepped back quickly to the door to avoid getting hit by the table.

In the end, the table landed on the floor, and the cards scattered everywhere while the plastic chips rolled onto the ground.

Caleb stepped on the chips and

walked toward Matthew. "Don't you

know that intelligent people often meet their downfall quicker? You should remember in your next lifenoveldrama

that, sometimes, it's a blessing to take a loss!"

The chips crunched under Caleb's footsteps as he charged toward Matthew, intending to kill. Meanwhile,

Matthew stood and stared at Caleb in silence as the latter closed their distance.

Four more steps. Three more. Two

steps left, and Matthew clenched his

fists tightly as he locked his gaze Caleb. He realized that he had encountered an expert and his body went taught as he prepared himself for the fight.

Then, Matthew held his breath. If Caleb had taken a step more, he would be within Matthew's striking distance. Just that thought alone made Matthew even more focused.

Then, Caleb lifted his leg to step forward. All of a sudden, his legs stopped mid-air, and he retracted his legs to where it originally was.

The ferocious expression that was plastered on his face slowly morphed into one of horror. Caleb slowly raised both his hands above his head and made a pose of surrender.

Then, he yelled in fear, "Don't! Don't shoot!"

Matthew was at a loss and carefully said in confusion, "I... I don't have a gun... I'm using my hands..." Halfway through his words, Matthew stopped abruptly. He looked past Caleb and saw that Sebastian had

a gun in his hands, and it was pointed directly at Caleb's back.

Matthew was horrified. He hadn't

even seen when Sebastian had fished out his gun when the latter was in his line of sight, but Caleb had actually managed to see it How did Caleb manage to see what went on behind him?
