The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2401

Red Shirt thought that Sylvie and the rest were agreeable at the prospect of getting rich. As such, he lowered his backpack and unzipped, revealing the gold and gems inside.

Unlike antiques, these could be melted and sold for money!

"You're crazy!" Sylvie rolled her eyes.

"Oh, come on!" Red Shirt retorted in annoyance. "You don't have to snap like that!"

"So what if I do? Even the tomb raiders in movies wouldn't sell the good stuff to foreigners! You people don't have any principles, and that's sickening!"

Red Shirt glowered. "Don't bite off more than you can chew, lady!"

"No, no, no. Please let me have a bite," Sylvie retorted.

As the leader of an archaeological team, she naturally thought differently than the gang of tomb raiders. In her mind, artifacts had no monetary value-only historical —and selling them was an utter waste, which was why she despised tomb raiders.

"You asked for it!"

Red Shirt was incensed and whipped out a handgun, training it directly on Sylvie.

Sylvie did a double take-what was going on? Were the modern tomb raiders so rich that they could even afford guns?

"Sure, the pretty boy you keep around is good, but that doesn't mean we're the type who screw around either!"

On the other hand, Red Shirt started threatening Frank and Sylvie, seemingly convinced that he was not going to lose. "It's called the circle of life-the rat fears the cat, but the rat also beats the elephant."

After all, speed was the decisive element for martial arts, and he really doubted that Frank was fast enough to stop a bullet.

"Then try betting on it. Empty your clip-if I'm still alive, you're telling me who sent you."

Frank usually would have subdued the likes of Red Shirt by now, but the circumstances were different now. He could see that all the treasures in this gang's bags were all imbued with a curious form of energy, which was why the snakes were chasing them down relentlessly earlier.

And reality was hardly a fairy tale-even if one could not get everything right, it was hardly

possible to get everything wrong et

either. If these tomb raiders

soz much as picked up a different piece, those snakes would not have been that interested in them.

"Did I hear that right?"

Red Shirt traded glances with his friends before laughing themselves silly.

The hypogeum was already strange enough for them, only for the people that they run into to prove even stranger. After all, the kid actually believed that he could win against a gun!

"Shut up and start shooting," Frank snapped impatiently.

Beside her, Sylvie's face fell, and she whispered into his ear, "Please don't push yourself. The body won't survive bullets."

Frank smiled in wry amusement.

Not only did he have the protection of the spiritron vein, but dealing with guns was also quite easy even without.

Meanwhile, Red Shirt brandished his gun. "Do you think I wouldn't dare to, kid?"

Frank chuckled coolly. "Shoot if you want. Why talk so much?"

Red Shirt was actually left at a loss.

He may be packing heat, but that was for safety reasons while he explored this tomb.

Shooting monsters were fine, but he really would not dare to shoot a person.

Even if none would be the wiser, Red Shirt had his own principles-he was greedy, but he had scruples.

"What, are you scared?"

On the other hand, Frank lost all patience and seized Red Shirt's wrist, squeezingnoveldrama

it slightly and breaking it!

He wanted to demonstrate his strength to Red Shirt just to break his will and make him more willing to answer his questions, only for

Red Shirt to turn out to be a coward!
