The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2285

 noveldrama

Right after Jouri was gone, Sayna arrived with ten bodyguards, intercepting Frank. "Your reputation precedes you, Mr. Frankton!"

"What do you want?" Jada scowled right then.

"Pipe down. Everyone knows that you and Mr. Frankton are powerful. There's no way I'd just come here to die." Sanya smiled and turned toward Frank.

Frank shook her head at Jada, signaling for her to calm down.

At the same time, Sayna continued, "Let me introduce myself—I'm Sayna Quill, and you've probably heard that I was Uran Wal's fiancee. That's certainly not the case now, since there's no way I'd marry a corpse!"

"Oh, so you're Sayna?" Frank smirked, as it was rare to meet a woman as shrewd as her.

And judging from Uran's pleas earlier, it was clear Sayna never cared about him. She could immediately tell that Rudy would not win too, or she would not have freed Callie halfway through.

"At your service! I only came to greet you, so that you won't be too surprised when we meet tomorrow."

With that, she turned to leave, catwalking flamboyantly.

Jada looked on and smiled in wry amusement. "Well, you're in for it now, master. She has her eyes on you now."

Frank thought nothing of it-he loved women, but he was not that desperate.

Still, he wondered, "Why did she say we're meeting tomorrow?"

"Oh, there's going to be a convention tomorrow!" Jada exclaimed. "The other bigwigs of the town are really concerned that we and the Ingrams would build a monopoly, so they're inviting everyone with money across the country to invest in our town.

"You've been so busy with Rudy Himmel that I didn't have time to report it to you, but you've been invited, and Donnie Ingram is keen to see you too." Frank nodded, since he had nothing else to do anyway. "Guess I should check out what Sayna is up to myself as well."

The next day, on the second floor of Corsette Hotel, both sides of the hall were filled with expensive buffet food and rows of wine that were worth a king's ransom.

Everyone who was important in town had shown up, mingling and socializing, while Frank, Alda, Jada, and Callie were sitting in a corner together. Frank had always despised such social events, as it always involved constant flattery. It simply annoyed him, so he would always hide in a corner.

Callie whipped out a packet of chips and passed it to Frank. "Don't just sit there. At least exercise your mouth."

Frank returned it to her. "You can keep it. Also, when's your boss coming?"

Callie shook her head and smiled. "Occasions like these don't suit her. Let's just say that she'll show up unexpectedly-just don't be too surprised when it happens."

Seeing that Callie was intent on playing up the mystery, Frank ignored her and turned toward Jada. "I thought you said everyone aeross the country. All these people are local!"

Jada shrugged. "They probably just haven't arrived yet, or maybe they're scared since this isn't their turf."

Jada did not know why no one from

outside this town was showing up

either. Even if they were not

interested in investing, they could at least show their faces out of respect.

But even as the thought crossed her mind, someone in the crowd shouted, "They're here!"

Everyone turned to find a slender woman entering the hall, her stilettos clicking in her wake.

It was obviously Sanya, escorted by a handful of men behind her. They varied in age, but it was clear from their tailored suits that they were rich.
