Frank said nothing and shook his head, and Alda returned his phone.

She was being paranoid just then-would Frank really be afraid of someone like Pax?

With that in mind, she smiled. "Guess we're in for a show."

"Yeah. Now get ready if you're coming with me." Frank smiled.

Seeing that Frank was allowing her company, she grinned ear-to-ear while glancing at Sylvie from time to time.

"Alright, you can stop bragging-you're just going out with him," Sylvie shrugged. "Just so you know, we went exploring a tomb together." Alda was immediately deflated, rolling her eyes as she left the room.

As evening arrived, Frank took a Range Rover and left town with Alda, heading to Rayson Gardens where they were supposed to meet Pax.

It was a famous place in this town, even all of Shagan, as the buildings were covered with greenery through special cultivation. The place seemed to be one with nature and often attracted droves of tourists.

However, today was different-the gates were shut, with over twenty men in black standing there, brandishing baseball bats with a mean glare. Alda snorted. "I guess Pax knew I'd bring you, but it's not surprising since he knows about us. We never had personal ties before either, so he could see that you're definitely the reason why I asked to meet him.

"And from the look of things, he wants us to push through. But I think I'll call him instead and demand an explanation."

Alda held out a hand to Frank for his phone, but he did not give her.

As Frank calmly strode forward, the leader of the men-in-black strode up, holding out a hand to stop him. "Lugh Frankton, was it? Mr. Jaric says he will see you... if you make it past us!"

Frank flexed his wrists as he strode up, floored all twentyish of them in the blink of an eye, and beckoned at Alda to come over.

As the last light underground faded, there was a bang as countless lights turned on, illuminating every part of the room.
