Chapter 2164
The waiter waved outside, and over a dozen bouncers rushed in, surrounding the fat man and his goons.
The fat man was not worried, however, and smirked. "I'll make you pay if you touch me! I'm a customer, and not only are you refusing to receive me, but just look at those scum-do you think they're even at my level?!"
Meg completely ignored him and waved, and her bouncers promptly punched the fat man's goons to the floor.
The fat man flinched, breaking into cold sweat as he snapped, "Fine, you win this one! Just you wait, Meg Quill!"
He fled with his goons, knowing that he would be in a world of pain if he kept trying his luck, since he was in someone else's turf.
On the other hand, Meg headed outside the private room and told the waiter, "Shut the door. This was my mistake too, but let's make sure this never happens again, or we'd have trouble explaining ourselves to the boss."noveldrama
The waiter nodded repeatedly, still unable to tear his eyes from Meg's ripped thigh highs.
It was not the fat man's fault for mocking Meg-no one expected this side of her with her usually haughty demeanor.
And from the look of things, she was perfectly willing, which made it all the more interesting the sight of Meg trying to hook up with someone was interesting just thinking about it.
"Ahem!"
As Meg cleared her throat, the waiter reluctantly turned away to get back to work.
On the other hand, Meg returned to Frank's room and raised a glass. "Apologies, everyone. It was our blunder, so I apologize on behalf of the owner." As usual, she did not hold back her manners when apologizing.
"One glass isn't enough!" Jouri teased just as Meg finished.
Meg smiled in turn. "It doesn't matter how many glasses it takes-I won't refuse you, Ms. Yelin."
"Then keep going!"
Jouri brought her a bottle of beer.
"As long as it pleases you," Meg replied and started drinking glass by glass.
She was a good drinker, but she was starting to get sick, unable to talk after finishing.
"Another!"
Jouri put another bottle in front of Meg.
"That's enough, Jouri." Alda quickly stopped her, having seen enough.
However, Jouri smirked. "I came
here to show my guests a good time, only for you to bring me
wheel
drama. What, don't you respect me at all?"
Meg was terrified and promptly apologized, "I'm sorry, Ms. Yelin. This won't happen again-I promise."
Jouri snorted. "You'd all be closed down if it wasn't for my bestie."
"Y-Yes, Ms. Yelin, Ms. Ingram, and Mr. Frankton. Thank you for your understanding...
Meg did not dare to protest against Jouri's demand, picking up the bottle and chugging it too.
Seeing that, Alda reasoned, "It's fine now, Jouri. She's proven her sincerity, so let's look the other way."
"Hmph!" Jouri snorted, scowling. "You can team up with whoever you want now. I don't care."
Meg was left pursing her lips
awkwardly. "We've made a mistake, and it's reasonable that you're upset. Why don't I just stick to providing service, while everyone else continues?"
"Come on, you have to stick with the game!"
Alda was much kinder in contrast to Jouri's hostility. "Why don't I team up with Jouri, while you team up with Lugh?"
She had considered teaming up with
Meg, but douri could be
unpredictable-in case Jouri
despised teaming up with Lugh, she
decided to team up with Jouni instead.
Jouri finally relented too. "Alright, since you're going that far."
Meg breathed a sigh of relief-thank goodness Alda was on hand to keep the peace, so that she could stay around.
If she really upset Jouri, she was going to have trouble explaining herself to her boss!
