Chapter 656 Many Solutions
"Sam?" Molly called out again when no one responded.
Sebastian said, "He's working."
The game had just started, and Molly had already given up.
Then, Molly logged off.
With a faint smile, Sebastian handed the phone to Sam, "Get back to work."
"Mr. Chase, you're really something," Sam said.
Other subordinates also felt that Sebastian had many ways to deal with Molly. "Mr. Chase, do you sometimes get your unexpected interrogation ideas from Molly?"
Sebastian smiled and replied, "I can't deny that she has indeed helped me a lot in that area."
Just as everyone was preparing for an all-nighter, a delivery arrived with a note: [From your wife.]
No need to say more, everyone knew whose wife it was.
After all, no other wife would stay up as late as Sebastian's wife.
Sebastian put down the documents in his hand, "Share the snacks and keep working."
Sebastian didn't go home all night and went straight into the next day's work. Molly didn't dare to call him again.
The next day, Vera called Molly to ask about the progress, "How did it go?"
"Didn't see him, played games until dawn, and got caught."
Vera said, "Good luck, goodbye."
After hanging up, Vera looked at Susan, who was unafraid of UV rays due to her youth, and called out, "Susan, stop spinning Theodore around, or you'll both get dizzy."
April was in full bloom, with temperatures in the 70s and a gentle breeze making it very pleasant. Theodore had to be taken outside to play every day. Susan wrapped Theodore in a small blanket and ran around with him on the mat, making Theodore laugh with joy.
Randall came out with a big sun hat and put it on the sweaty Susan's head, "Learn from Vera; she's hiding from the sun in the shade while you're here playing with her son."
Randall picked up the warm Theodore and took him to the shade, handing him to Vera, "Half an hour is up."
Theodore stuck out his tongue and snuggled into Vera's arms.
Lilac Manor wasn't as pleasant as The Olteran Manor, and Molly kept glancing at the door to see if Sebastian had come back.
"Mom, can you call Sebastian and ask when he'll be back?"
Ellie said, "Why don't you call him?"
Afraid of being scolded by Sebastian, Molly made up a lie, "We're always too sweet, it's not a good look."
"You've been sweet for over a decade, and now you're talking about appearances?" Unable to argue with Ellie, Molly went upstairs in her slippers.
That evening, Sebastian came home briefly, changing his shoes at the door while looking at Molly in the living room.
Molly didn't dare to meet Sebastian's gaze.
"Sebastian, have you eaten?" Zoey asked.
Sebastian said, "I'm just here to change clothes; I'll be heading back to the station soon."
As Sebastian went upstairs, Molly followed closely behind, a smile playing on Sebastian's lips.noveldrama
In the walk-in closet, Molly leaned against the door, "Sebastian, you're not staying home tonight?"
Sebastian unbuttoned his shirt casually, "Hmm, something up?"
"Not really, nothing major." Molly leaned against the closet door, her hand seemingly scratching it.
Sebastian took off his dirty clothes, picked up a clean shirt, and buttoned it while looking at her half-hidden figure, "What's the matter?"
"Keep up the good work, Sebastian. I'll be waiting for you at home."
With that, Molly quickly left. After changing his pants and shoes, Sebastian walked out, looking at the newlywed Molly, who hadn't left the house recently, wondering what could have happened.
"I'm off," Sebastian said.
Molly said, "I'll see you off."
In the car, Molly sat in the passenger seat, "I'll drop you off at the station and then take a cab home."
Ellie couldn't bear to watch Molly and turned to complain to Timothy, "What kind of person is Molly?"
Timothy said, "Newlyweds, understandable. When we first got married, I rode a bike to work, and you insisted on riding on the back."
Ellie said, "If you say one more word, no one will think you're mute."
Timothy glanced at Ellie, who was just like Molly, and silently took a sip of water.
As they neared the police station, Sebastian pulled over, looking at Molly, "There are cabs here. I'll watch you get in one."
As Molly unbuckled her seatbelt, she suddenly leaned over and kissed Sebastian, catching him off guard.
Sebastian was puzzled.
But seeing Molly equally bewildered, he leaned in and kissed her on the lips.
"Wait for me at home and let me know when you get there," Sebastian gently instructed after the kiss, "This time, be good."
"Okay," Molly nodded, opened the car door, got into a cab, and waved to Sebastian. Sebastian watched the cab disappear before driving back to the station.
"Really, I just saw it. Sam even got closer to take a look."
"Is there any doubt? Mr. Chase's car, who else would drive it? The couple kissing inside must be Mr. Chase and Molly."
Sam said, "I swear on my life, I saw Mr. Chase and Molly kissing in the car when I went to get food."
Sebastian walked in slowly, hearing Sam's passionate declaration, "Your eyesight is pretty good."
The gossipers instantly straightened up, David said, "Reporting, Mr. Chase, I just glanced from afar; Sam got closer."
Sam said, "Mr. Chase, we went to get food and saw your car when we came back. We wanted to sit in your car but didn't want to disturb you."
The atmosphere in the team was extremely tense, Sebastian said, "Contact Holly and have her pack your things. Don't take any breaks; stay at the station and work overtime."
Sam wanted to speak, but David immediately covered his mouth. After Sebastian returned to his office, David "comforted" him, "Sam, not bad. At least Mr. Chase didn't make you clean the toilets this time."
After three days of continuous overtime, Vera called Molly every day to ask about the progress, and Molly had only one answer, "Didn't see him."
Three days later, Sebastian called Patrick, "Dennis wants to see Shawn."
Patrick was chatting with a business partner on the golf course when he received the
call. He returned to his private room, guarded by his men. He had heard Vera mention that Sebastian had been busy lately but didn't know what he was busy with.
Now, Patrick was about to find out.
"Last time, I received an anonymous envelope with evidence of Jeffrey laundering money with overseas connections. I didn't report it because I thought, how could someone so cunning put all his eggs in one basket with someone he barely knew? So I dug deeper and found more."
What do you think?
