The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 284 Luna Was Trouble

Victor was curious about what was going on behind Allison.

"We found this bottle of meds in Milton's drawer. It's not from our hospital. We've checked the surveillance footage. Milton's room is under 24-hour surveillance for his safety. We'll soon know who gave him the meds!"

Allison kept a firm grip on Luna. "Are you still not going to tell us where this medication came from?"

Luna's eyes were filled with fear. After a moment, Allison threw her to the ground. "Call the cops right now and get her a blood test!"

The hospital director hesitated, then looked at Allison uncertainly. "Dr. Bennett, this is..."

Allison said, "Keep an eye on her. Don't let her escape. Once we get her blood test results, you'll understand."

Alexander walked up behind Allison and asked quietly, "What did you see?"

Allison replied, "If I'm right, she's been using illegal substances for a while now!"

Everyone was stunned by Allison's words. No one doubted her judgment because they knew she wouldn't joke about something like this.

Luna tried to run as soon as she got up, but hospital security quickly took her away for a blood test. The situation was getting more complicated. Allison requested a computer, hacked into the hospital's surveillance system, and started searching through the footage. She used her phone to upload a photo for a search.

Miraculously, she found a clue. "This woman escaped with Herbert. Alexander, go check if she's still in the hospital and if we have any information on her!"noveldrama

Alexander nodded, took a photo of the woman, and was about to leave when the hospital director approached, looking puzzled. "Isn't this Herbert's student? She's from abroad. The school has her records!"

Allison accessed the school's database and pulled up the woman's information. Her

face changed when she saw the name. "Patricia Faith?"

Allison turned to look at Alexander, both of them looking serious.

Alexander called Vernon for more information about Patricia and Herbert.

Vernon said, "Herbert is from Eldoria, and Patricia was born in Novaria. She appears to

be Herbert's student, but she's actually his illegitimate daughter!"

Allison scratched her head. Things were getting more complicated and beyond her scope. She decided to save the information onto a USB drive.

Allison said, "I'll leave this to you. I need to help Henry in the OR."

Just as Allison was about to enter the operating room, her phone rang. It was a call from The Carter Manor. She quickly answered.

Aiden's voice came through the phone. "Allison, Liliana's not doing well. Can you come home?"

Allison's expression changed. She looked at Victor seriously. "Aiden, don't worry. Get Felicity over there. I have something for her to do."

Soon, Felicity answered the phone and explained the situation. "Ms. Bennett, Ms. Carter is bleeding and in severe pain. She needs to go to the hospital immediately, but she refuses to go!"

Allison turned and ran out. Alexander quickly grabbed her arm. "What happened?"

Allison replied, "Liliana's in trouble. I need to get home now!"

Hearing that, Victor bolted out. Allison glanced at him and then left the hospital.

Alexander held onto the USB drive tightly, knowing he had to stay.

Allison drove Alexander's car with Victor in the back seat. She could see that Victor was falling apart.

But Allison didn't approve of his behavior. After all, it's rare to find someone who always puts their spouse first.

Victor mumbled, "Allison, Liliana..."

Allison interrupted, "Victor, I get that mentors are important, but I respect my partner and don't expect them to sacrifice everything for me. If Liliana hadn't married you, she might have lived a more carefree life."

Victor clenched his fists, feeling worse. He knew that if something happened to Liliana, even if she forgave him, the Carter family wouldn't. If they forced him to divorce, Victor felt he wouldn't survive. "What do I do? Liliana, you have to be okay!"

Allison drove quickly, running several red lights, and got home in fifteen minutes. She rushed upstairs for her medical kit.

She almost jumped down the stairs but remembered the elderly at home and didn't want to scare them, so she ran down the stairs.

"Victor, get out. I don't want to see you. Get out!" Liliana pushed Victor away, angry and in pain. Seeing him only made her angrier.

Victor said, "Liliana, don't be like this. I know I was wrong. I'll accept any punishment. Just let me help you!"

Allison pulled Victor out and shut the door, looking at him sternly. "If you don't want Liliana to get worse, stay quiet and stay put!"

Victor stood silently at the door after Allison's scolding. Allison closed the door, leaving Felicity to help.

"Felicity, pull back the covers and take off her pants. I need to do some therapy."

Felicity nodded and helped. Allison started the treatment without hesitation. After a while, the bleeding stopped.

Allison sighed in relief and checked on Liliana. Liliana, feeling less pain, looked at her. "Allison, how's the baby?"

Allison replied, "Liliana, don't worry. The baby is fine. You've been taking medication to protect the pregnancy, so the baby is stable. But if your emotions fluctuate too much, even my skills might not be enough to save the baby."

Liliana nodded, tears streaming down her face. She had been terrified. If she lost the baby, she didn't know what she would do.

With the bleeding stopped, Felicity brought clean sheets and clothes for Liliana. When she went out, Victor saw the blood-stained sheets and lost control of his emotions.

"Liliana, I'm sorry. It's all my fault!" Victor cried outside, making Liliana feel a mix of anger and helplessness.

Liliana asked, "What happened, Allison? Can you tell me?"

Allison nodded and explained the situation with Milton.

"Milton is a good person. Victor owes him a lot. Milton wanted Victor to marry his daughter, but Luna liked Herbert. Who would have thought Herbert was a bad person? They say a woman's choice of a husband is crucial. It seems true now," Liliana said.
