Declan was genuinely touched by the fancy words.

"Since Miles is so dedicated, I was planning to cover the medical bills, but let's give Miles the chance. It's a great way to show your devotion!"

Declan's sarcastic tone almost made Miles choke. Usually, all of Allegra's expenses were covered by Declan's family, but this time, Declan refused.
