Chapter 236 A Bright Future
That evening, Alexander was swamped with work in his study. When he finally came out, he saw Allison stepping out of Mia's room.
Alexander walked over, wrapped an arm around Allison's waist, and kissed her deeply. Allison was startled at first, but as his familiar scent surrounded her, she didn't resist. She wrapped her arms around his neck, letting him deepen the kiss.
This was their first intimate moment since Allison's injury, and Alexander almost lost control.
"When can we finally live like a normal married couple? I can't wait for your twentieth birthday, Allison!"
Allison hadn't expected Alexander to be so traditional, insisting on waiting until marriage for intimacy. But this only made her love him more.
Only a man who truly loves you will cherish everything about you. Those who just want to sleep with you are usually bad news.
"Just two more years, Mr. Carter. I believe in you!"noveldrama
Allison kissed Alexander's chin with a smile, then slipped out of his embrace and ran to her room.
Alexander smiled helplessly and went to shower and sleep. That night, Allison slept soundly. She woke up at six in the morning, ran a lap around The Carter Manor, and then came back for breakfast.
When she came downstairs, Allison had changed into her school uniform, which made Mia very happy.
"Allison, you're going to school today? That's awesome!"
Allison smiled at Mia, who was munching on a big sandwich, her cheeks puffed out.
"Mr. Callahan called. He wants to discuss the scholarship with me, so I'm going to school to finalize it and hand some things to the teachers."
Mia nodded, still eating, then suddenly remembered something. "Allison, do you remember Yasmin? I heard she dropped out!"
Allison thought, 'She dropped out?' She frowned but wasn't too surprised, considering the Walker family's recent hospital visits.
"She's pregnant, about three or four months along now. It's not surprising she dropped out."
Mia was shocked. "She's really pregnant? Oh my gosh, she's only eighteen and already going to be a mom!"
For someone like Mia, this was unbelievable. Allison looked at her and poked her forehead.
"Mia, don't follow Yasmin's example. Getting pregnant young is dangerous because your body isn't fully developed. No marriage or kids until after college!"
Mia nodded vigorously. Marriage and kids seemed so far off to her.
Soon, Victor came downstairs and greeted them.
"I'll drive you both to school later. I need to go to Stellar University anyway."
Mia looked curiously towards the second floor. "Where's Mom? Is she still sleeping?"
Mentioning Liliana made Victor blush a bit.
"Your mom's been tired lately, so I let her sleep in."
Victor tried to act serious, but his face was red. Mia didn't notice.

After breakfast, Allison pulled a bottle of medicine from her bag and handed it to Victor.
"Victor, this tonic is for blood and energy. Give it to Liliana; it'll help her recover quickly. But you should take her to the hospital for a check-up when you can."
Victor accepted the medicine with a grateful smile and hurried upstairs, not even finishing his breakfast. Alexander, coming downstairs, felt like kicking him for his haste.
After breakfast, Alexander drove Allison and Mia to school. Many students and teachers warmly welcomed Allison back.
"Allison, we thought you weren't coming back! Is it true you're going to Stellar University on a scholarship?"
"Not just a scholarship, Allison's already a PhD student. She's going for her postdoc!"
Mia proudly told everyone, making Allison laugh.
"You go to class. I'll go to the principal's office."
Mia nodded and happily went to class.
Principal Magnus smiled when he saw Allison.
"Allison, I heard you were injured and hospitalized. Are you better now?"
Allison nodded. Magnus pulled her to sit down, looking at her pleadingly.
"Allison, I know you're going to Stellar University and don't need to take any exams. But could you help your classmates with theirs? Your study plans and practice tests have been so helpful."

Magnus wanted Allison to help the students. Her previous study plans and tests had significantly improved their grades.
"Don't worry, Mr. Callahan. I've prepared study plans and tests on this USB drive. You can share them with the teachers."
"That's wonderful, Allison. I owe you a big favor! Your records are ready. You can take them today and head to Stellar University. They're probably eagerly waiting for you."
Allison nodded, took her records, and went to the teachers' office to say goodbye to her homeroom teacher, Nola, who had always supported her.
"Allison, it's been an honor to be your homeroom teacher. You're so outstanding!" Allison smiled, took a bottle of medicine and a piece of paper from her bag, and handed them to Nola.
"I know you've been trying to conceive for two years. This medicine, developed by a friend, helps with fertility issues. Take it for a month, and follow the prescription for half a month. It should help."
Nola was surprised and clutched the medicine and prescription tightly.
"Thank you so much, Allison! I heard you're Joe's student, so this must be good stuff!" Allison nodded and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"I'm going to say goodbye to the class, then head to Stellar University. Take care, Ms. Skye!"
Nola, moved to tears, followed Allison to the classroom. The students applauded as Allison entered, their faces full of enthusiasm. These were the best memories of high school.
"It's been an honor to be your classmate. I wish each of you a bright future!"
