yelled at him as I watched him cower to the ground,

"You were wrong about the attack Alpha." He gripped his neck, trying to breathe as he uttered,

"The rogues weren’t coming after my pack, but the neighboring pack after mine. I got a great tip from an unknown identity." He uttered and I arched my brows at him,

I would have ripped off his face if I hadn’t heard Tyson’s voice from behind,

"Dexter, there’s something wrong. I think there’s going to be another attack." Tyson yelled from a distance and I turned around to face him,

"Where?"

"The neighboring pack."

I turned back at their Alpha, "Who the hell gave you a damn tip? Tell me." I instructed and watched him shiver at the command of my voice. One way or the other, this could be a fucking trick and I didn’t want to fall for it. "Dexter, we have to go right now!" Tyson yelled, but I wasn’t going to fucking leave until I got my answer. If I made any damn mistakes and one more pack gets attacked, then it might mean the end of showing my father how capable I was and bringing the hell of a bastard back to the pack,

"Tell me!" I yelled again, this time, with enough command to make him start talking,

"I have no idea, Alpha. He was an old seer who told me my pack would prosper beyond imagination after the attack of the neighboring pack."

I let out a loud unbelievable scoff after I heard him, "And you believe those absurd words?" I questioned and suddenly stayed quiet so I could think. There were chances that I might be wrong as well, but I really couldn’t flop this up,

"Gather your soldiers this minute," I instructed him and he rose to his feet. I turned around to see Tyson closely behind me,noveldrama

"What the hell are you doing, Dexter? We have to fucking leave."

"We’re staying here. There’s a high chance we’re being lured to the wrong pack." I answered, and the shock in his eyes made me take a deep breath in.

"Go to the neighboring pack and keep an eye on things there right away. Mind link me if you suspect anything wrong no matter how small it is." I mind-linked Daniel, and at the distance he stood, he nodded his head before walking away,

"What are you doing?"

"I have a strong feeling this is some kind of trap, Tyson. We have to stay here and keep an eye on things. Daniel would watch over the neighboring pack for now."

"Do you think he’s strong enough to handle a bunch of Rogues?" Tyson uttered and I scoffed at him,

"You don’t want to underestimate my Beta," I answered and began walking away, heading towards the field where their Alpha was getting the warriors
