Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1774

James was having a hard time recalling the person Sophie mentioned. It had been more than twenty years, and he only had a faint memory of someone like that.

"He's at the school."noveldrama

Sophie's words sent a chill through James. Alec, sensing something was off, leaped from his seat and bolted out of the classroom. James was right on his heels.

The other students exchanged bewildered looks. Everything seemed fine just moments ago, so why the sudden urgency?

Meanwhile, the chemistry lab was deserted.

At the back gate of Westbridge High School, a security guard was cheerfully greeting the chemistry teacher.

"Mr. Deston, heading out early today?"

"I've got some things at home that need sorting, so I'm leaving early," Isaac replied, his gaze cold as he drove out through the back exit. In the rearview mirror, Fiona lay unconscious, knocked out by ether.

"Sophie, Colby, you owe me, and now your daughter will pay the price," Isaac thought darkly.

Back at the school, James and Alec quickly pieced together that Isaac had taken Fiona. James made a call, and the school went into immediate lockdown with police sirens waiting outside. The students were clueless about the drama unfolding, merely watching the scene with a sense of excitement.

"Where's Betty? Has anyone seen her?" one girl asked, noticing Betty's absence but then shrugging it off, more interested in the Burke International security team emerging from their armored vehicles.

Meanwhile, Isaac drove to a rundown apartment in the city center. The place was neglected, with dust on surfaces, unwashed floors and clothes heaped on chairs. The only thing somewhat clean was a photo frame on the table.

In the frame was a photo of Isaac with his mother, Jessica. In the picture, they looked glamorous and affluent, a sharp contrast to Isaac's current circumstances.

"Mom, I've got Sophie's daughter. I'll ransom her for a fortune and then use The Silent Shadows' dark web to mass-produce powder. I'll be like a savior. This is what Sophie owes me I'm just taking back what's mine," Isaac mused, eyes gleaming With greed.

He didn't notice that Fiona, who had been lying on the couch, had already opened her eyes.

Isaac turned on the TV, and within twenty minutes, James had issued a missing person alert on the news, offering a hefty reward. The internet exploded with shock that Devonport's darling little princess had been kidnapped.

At the same time, Isaac's picture was broadcast on TV. He hadn't expected James

to uncover his identity so fast, but he wasn't fazed. With Fiona as his leverage,

neither Sophie nor James would dare make a reckless move.

Fiona was his ace in the hole.

"Mr. Deston, why did you bring me here?" Fiona's voice cut through the air, sending a shiver down Isaac's spine.
