Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1703

Sophie found herself momentarily lost, staring out the car window at the intriguing profile she caught a glimpse of.

The chauffeur approached, handing her a sleek black card. "Miss, our young master sends his regards and apologies for the inconvenience."

With that, the chauffeur returned to the car, leaving Sophie clutching the card, with no room to refuse.

"Do they think money can fix everything? Who doesn't have money these days?" Harold grumbled. But seeing Sophie deep in thought, he frowned. "Hey, are you okay? Do we need to get you to a doctor?" Harold was genuinely concerned about her.

Sophie glanced at the black card in her hand. "I feel like I've seen him before."

"What? You must be out of it. Once we're back, I'll have my brother William take a look at you."

Harold opened the car door for her, helping Sophie in as he muttered about the day's bad luck. If he hadn't been in a rush, he might have given that guy a piece of his mind.

On the way back to the Russell estate, Sophie kept her eyes on the card, lost in her own world.

Sophie was rarely this quiet, and Harold began to worry she was still shaken up by the fender bender.

"Are you sure you don't need to see a doctor?"

"...I'm fine. Why would I need a doctor?"

After she reassured him, Sophie got out of the car. Harold leaned out the window, "I'll wait here for you. Later, we'll pick up Andrew and head to the Costellos'." "Alright."

Sophie agreed and walked towards her home, the grand entrance of the Russell estate looming before her.

She felt a strange sense of dislocation.noveldrama

Even though this was her home, it felt oddly distant, like she hadn't been there in forever.

"The young miss is back! Sir and Madam were just talking about you getting home from school," a servant greeted Sophie warmly.

Seeing the familiar scene, Sophie's eyes welled up unexpectedly. She felt her nose tingle with emotion, tears almost spilling over.

"What's wrong, Miss? Why are you hesitating?"

The servant asked, puzzled by Sophie's delay.

Sophie shook her head, saying nothing as she pushed open the door.

Her familiar home awaited.

Andrew, in a crisp white shirt, exuded a scholarly vibe. Beside him, Damita carried herself with the

elegance of a true lady, tving barely touched her face.

Normally, Sophie would have already flung herself into her parents' arms, playfully demanding attention.

But today, her heart was heavy with unspoken feelings.

"Who says so? My daughter could show up in pajamas, and it would still be an honor for Alexander! He should be grateful," Andrew huffed.

"Stop joking around," Damita chided gently, tapping Andrew on the mouth. "Now, lift your arms so I can check."

"Alright, alright, anything for you."
