Reclaiming Her Heart

Chapter 1280 Raymond, You Are Really Amazing!

At 4 AM in Silver Bay City, everything was eerily quiet.

A man held a small earpiece between his fingers, designed to listen in on Selena's side. But since the day before yesterday, he hadn't been able to reach her.

"Unbelievable," he muttered. "Looks like Raymond's sweet talk has swayed her again." He set the earpiece down, and someone nearby asked softly, "What should we do now? Should we just leave Ms. Fair with Christopher's alter ego?"

The man didn't respond immediately, his eyes narrowing slightly. The room fell silent under his intense presence.

After a long pause, he tossed the earpiece into a nearby trash can. "Tell Christopher's alter ego that Raymond is likely hiding in his villa."

With that, he leaned back and closed his eyes, looking relaxed. "Also, send someone to inform Selena that if she doesn't care about Barbara's life, she can keep messing around with Raymond. I'll be leaving on the night of the fifth next month. Whether she chooses to cooperate with me is up to her."

"Got it, sir."

The bodyguard looked at him with a hint of admiration. He was the most powerful man around, managing the entire BK organization with precision.

The bodyguard quickly left.

Half an hour later, Christopher's alter ego received the message.

"You're saying Raymond is hiding here?" He smiled, glancing around at the bodyguards. No one spoke.

Christopher's alter ego raised his hand, his eyes darkening. "Got it. I'll find him."

While Selena was resting in her room, she heard a light tapping at the window. The sound was faint, but she heard it. It was a message from K, asking if she really didn't care about Barbara's life.

Of course, Selena cared.

She lowered her eyelashes and then heard her room door open. Christopher's alter ego didn't pay her any mind and went straight to the bathroom.

The bathroom only had Selena's toiletries, but when he opened the door behind the mirror, there was indeed a set of men's toiletries.

He thought, 'Raymond, you really are something!'

A flash of anger crossed his eyes as he moved to the bed, spotting a short strand of men's hair on the pillow.

"Selena!" He stormed over to her, grabbing her chin. "Do you have a death wish?"

Selena winced in pain, her brow furrowing.

Christopher's alter ego was so furious his chest heaved. He even considered strangling Selena right then and there. But seeing the pain on her face, he loosened his grip.

"Get in here!" he shouted.

Two men standing guard at the door quickly entered. Christopher's alter ego took a deep breath. "Who's been delivering the food lately?"

The two men thought for a moment before answering, "Cade."

Christopher's alter ego remembered Cade. He wasn't very noticeable because his face was disfigured, and he always walked with a hunched posture. But he was quite skilled.

Such a person would indeed be a good candidate for impersonation.

Christopher's alter ego gritted his teeth. "Find him and bring him here! If he says a word, deal with him on the spot!"

"Yes, sir."noveldrama

The two bodyguards quickly left.

Selena's breath nearly stopped. She was about to make her way to the door when Christopher's alter ego grabbed her wrist.

"Worried? If Raymond dared to come, he must have prepared for the worst."

Selena didn't respond, instead, she slapped him.

Christopher's alter ego dodged, his eyes filled with rage. He grabbed her wrist, intending to push her onto the bed, but in the next second, a gun was pressed to his head.

Raymond had been in the room all along, hiding behind the curtains. Mario, in his anger, hadn't noticed the anomaly.

Raymond pulled Selena behind him, his tone calm. "Tell your men to leave."

Christopher's alter ego didn't move, instead pressing closer to the gun. "Raymond, do you dare to shoot?"

Before he finished speaking, Raymond kicked him in the waist. "Christopher, I don't want to kill you, but crippling you would be easy. Your power is in Vistalia, and because of the chip, you're under constant surveillance. I suggest you be careful."

Raymond took out handcuffs and secured Christopher's alter ego. "Selena said she gave you the chip. How could you forget where it is? Do you want me to help you remember? Or should I shoot you somewhere that will make you tell Mr. Murray's people the chip is with you?"

Selena couldn't see what was happening, but she clung to Raymond's shirt.

Raymond placed Christopher's alter ego on the bed, tying his legs with torn fabric. He took out his phone and called Ralph.

When Ralph answered, Raymond put the phone in front of Christopher's alter ego. "Tell

Mr. Murray the chip is with you, or else..."

He pointed the gun at the most vulnerable part of his body.

So this was what he meant by crippling.

No man wasn't afraid of this.

Christopher's alter ego felt a tightness in his chest. Into the phone, he said, "I'll bring

the chip in the morning."

As he spoke, he glared at Raymond.
