Chapter 620
Nathalie was absolutely intrigued by the high-tech Al car. "How can such an
incredible invention exist? I guess I've really been out of the loop when it comes to Al developments," she mused, her curiosity piqued.
The assistant just smiled, saying nothing. There was a lot about cutting-edge Al that Nathalie still didn't know.
As the sky grew darker, the rain poured down even harder, flooding the streets so badly that the water reached up to people's waists. Many lower-level buildings were submerged, and people were rushing to find higher ground.
Watching the stranded pedestrians from the window, Nathalie felt a pang of empathy for their helplessness in the face of this natural disaster. Her worry was evident. "What will happen to them?" she wondered aloud.
The assistant chuckled dismissively. "There are countless injustices in the world. If you tried to fix each one, you'd be overwhelmed. Just look out for yourself."
Nathalie was taken aback by the cold remark and thought of the aloof man in the wheelchair. She couldn't help but ask, "Is your boss as cold and unfeeling as you?"
The assistant paused briefly before answering, "My boss doesn't mingle with people. Whether he's indifferent or cares deeply about the world, I have no idea."
Hearing this, Nathalie felt a strange sense of comfort. Deep down, she hoped he was a warm-hearted, kind man.
The unsympathetic assistant paid no mind to the people outside and swiftly drove the car to the Sunflower Club. The club, built on an elevated foundation, remained dry while the surrounding buildings were swamped.
After driving up a long ramp, the assistant pulled into the basement. Nathalie took the elevator up from the basement straight to the room the man had reserved.noveldrama
The assistant was full of cautionary advice, "My boss is a bit of a loner. He doesn't like being touched. If you do, you might lose that hand."
"He also appreciates silence and isn't fond of chatty people, so try to keep the conversation to a minimum."
"Oh, and about the gift you brought for him-I don't know how much it's worth, but he's really particular, especially about personal clothing. He insists on soft, comfortable materials and prefers things to be simple and low-key. Most crucially, he can't stand more than one color on a piece of clothing and absolutely detests bold patterns."
Nathalie's face grew paler by the second.
The outfit she had crafted wasn't a single color, she had embroidered a cluster of roses in dark red thread on the cuffs. If he disliked multi-colored or patterned items, her gift might not be the hit she had hoped for
The assistant muttered, "If he's not pleased, we're all in for it."

Nathalie felt her anxiety mounting after the assistant's stern warnings. She knew he was difficult, but she
realized just how challenging
hobe.
After giving his warnings, the assistant took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
A low, commanding voice from inside called, "Come in."
The assistant opened the door and gestured for Nathalie to enter.

Glancing around, Nathalie noticed the suite was spacious and warmly decorated, with a cozy sofa in the center and a stylish, multifunctional tea table by the window.
Clutching her gift, Nathalie nervously approached the man.
"Have a seat," he said, nodding toward the chair across from him.
Nathalie sat down, the assistant's advice echoing in her mind. She watched the man anxiously, trying hard to keep her urge to speak in check.
After a moment, the man frowned slightly, "Why aren't you saying anything?"
Nathalie hesitated, "They said you prefer silence. You're not fond of talkative people."
His expression remained icy as he slightly turned his head toward the door, and sensing his intense aura, the assistant quickly slipped out in fear.
What do you think?
