Chapter 52 Your Apology Isn't Worth That Much

Olivia had countless ways to deal with James, each more devastating than the last. It was simply a matter of
deciding how dramatically he would fall.
Exiting the security office, Olivia intended to call a cab home. However, she hadn't walked far before a disheveled figure came chasing after her. "Olivia! Wait!"
Mia came running, out of breath, her once-pristine makeup smudged, her usual arrogance replaced by pure panic.
"Olivia, I was wrong! Please, I'm begging you, spare my family! I won't do it again!" Mia sobbed, tears streaming down her face.
"Hmm?" Olivia paused mid-step.
Mia wiped her tears, her voice trembling as she pleaded, "Every company working with my family has canceled their contracts within hours..."
In less than a day, half of the Davis family's assets had evaporated.
The Davis Group's stock was plummeting, an unbroken streak of red.
Her parents were now on the brink of divorce, their fights escalating under the strain.
Everything Mia had endured in the past few hours felt like a nightmare she couldn't wake from.
"My mother has already been sued by the Wilson family's lawyers... Olivia, this is all my fault. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have bullied you all this time..." Mia cried desperately.
"I accept your apology," Olivia said calmly.
Mia's eyes lit up with hope. "Really? Then... then could you ask the Wilson family to spare my family's company-"
Olivia cut her off with a look of incredulity, as if Mia were a complete idiot.
"I've accepted your apology, but the punishment you deserve remains," Olivia said, her tone cold.
"What... but... I already apologized," Mia stammered, stunned.
Olivia sighed, glancing at Mia with impatience. Sometimes, she truly believed these spoiled brats had cement for brains.
"You're not apologizing because you genuinely feel remorse. You're apologizing because the Wilson family has put you in a position where you have no choice. If your family wasn't in trouble right now, would you have come to me at all?" Mia opened her mouth, but no words came. Olivia's words were the truth.
Had it not been for this catastrophe, Mia would never have lowered herself to apologize to Olivia.

were bold enough to do those things, you should be prepared to face the consequences. These aren't actions a simple 'sorry' can erase."
Your apology just isn't worth that much."
Showing mercy was the work of saints. Olivia had no interest in playing the role of a saint.
Her principle had always been clear: Revenge to the fullest.
Done with the conversation, Olivia turned and walked away, leaving Mia standing frozen in place.
Until people like the wealthy elites of St. Rona Academy experienced real consequences, they would never truly understand the value of others' dignity or lives. They thought money could solve everything.
One day, they'd learn-money could destroy them too
Watching Olivia's retreating back, Mia felt her chest tighten painfully.
Had she really been wrong?
In less than a day, the Davis family had been turned upside down.
Mia had watched helplessly as her father made endless calls, only to be shunned by friends who had once called him "brother." The moment they learned he had offended the Wilson family, they avoided him like the plague. Even Mia's so-called friends had cut ties with her. Every single one of them blocked her on all platforms once they heard about the Davis family's downfall.
No one extended a helping hand. They were all eagerly waiting to watch her family's collapse.
It was no different from the way Mia had once mocked Olivia in her most vulnerable moments.
Shaking herself out of her daze, Mia chased after Olivia, crying out her repentance.
Even as Olivia kept walking, Mia trailed her, tearfully confessing her sins.
"I was reckless and ignorant, thinking I could use my family's power to bully others. I didn't realize what it felt like to be ignored and mistreated until now. I'm truly sorry... I shouldn't have treated you or Isabella that way." Olivia suddenly stopped.
But it wasn't because of Mia's heartfelt remorse.
A group of shady-looking young men had stepped in front of her, blocking her path.
