“You disgusting traitor!"

The slap was so hard it echoed through the room.

behind Geoffrey made her blood run cold.

“Geoffrey, wait, it’s not what you think! They forcednoveldrama

slapped her again, and again. Each strike left her face

swelling, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.

“Shut up, you lying slut," he spat. "You really think I’ll

believe you? You’re nothing but a piece of clothing to

me. I wear you when I want, and I discard you when

I’m done. And now you betray me?"

His hands were around her throat now, squeezing as

the men, ready to make them pay. But by the time he

looked around, they were gone.

He stormed out of the room, too furious to stay, but

"Geoffrey, please, don’t leave me! You said you loved

With one harsh shove, he kicked her off and walked

away, leaving her sobbing in a heap on the floor.
