Donovan pitied Xenia when he looked at her helpless expression.

He turned to the investigators and said, "I know Xenia well. She wouldn't cheat, not to mention how bad her grades are. There's no need to cheat."

Xenia was struck by his tone. She felt offended. Her grades were bad because she had been distracted by the competition.

However, she still faked gratitude. "Thank you for believing me, Donovan."

Why was he so gung-ho when they wanted to investigate Noelle? Yet, when they needed to look into Xenia, Donovan was doing everything to stop them!

It looked like the rumors were true. The Liddells favored their adopted daughter while abusing their biological daughter.

Donovan said coldly, "No. You can't conduct the investigation just like that. We've got lawyers."

"Mr. Liddell. Your behavior will be noted into the final investigation report. Is it guilt that's making you prevent us from investigating?"

"Why would I feel guilty? Xenia is sensitive. What if your investigation traumatizes her?"

He egged Donovan on, "However, just now when you asked us to investigate Noelle, you were not saying all this. Is your favoritism that obvious?"

Noelle roasted Donovan, "Yeah. I can be investigated for cheating but Noelle can't? Who says that people with bad grades won't cheat? What if she'll get zero marks if she doesn't cheat?"

There was a mocking glint in Noelle's eye.

Donovan was rendered speechless for a moment. He said unnaturally, "I believe Xenia is a good girl."

Noelle was different. From a young age, she tried to vie for affection from Xenia. It wasn't surprising that she would do all this.

Noelle chuckled coldly. Right, Donovan trusted Xenia just like that in her past life.

Frank said, "Donovan, I believe Xenia. To rid her of suspicion, it's better to let her be investigated."

Xenia had lost her cool, but she

hoped that these investigators didn't

have evidence. After all, she'd

cheated for so many years and

never once had the teachers

realized. Even though they nearly found her out once, in the end

someone bore the responsibility for it.

She collected her thoughts and simpered pitifully, "Donovan, it's alright for me to suffer a bit as long as the Liddells don't get a bad reputation from this. I will do anything."

This enraged Donovan.

He insisted stubbornly, "How dare they investigate on a whim? Do you have evidence?"

"Indeed we do. There were surveillance cameras in the exam hall."

When Noelle heard that, she was excited. She only reported Xenia for the sake of

it. Had she really been on to something?

Xenia cheated but only ended up with such meager marks. What a weirdo!

She was dumbstruck. Blood drained out of her face. Even her hands were trembling. Had she really been filmed?

Impossible. There was no way!

Donovan didn't believe them. "Show us the footage."

He immediately showed the video on his phone. "She was filmed clearly. There

were notes being exchanged between her and the girl in front of her."

Noelle watched the video and commented with a smirk, "The video is quite clear."

It had captured Xenia's cheating

process. Noelle wanted to see how Xenia would deny it now that there was concrete evidence. What would Donovan's expression be? How exciting!

Xenia was terrified. She collapsed onto the floor. It was impossible that she'd

been discovered. She had taken care to avoid the cameras. Why did she still get filmed?
