My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2214

In Central District, Clint had been monitoring the consumption of his celestial power. He was uncertain how much longer he could sustain himself, but he knew he needed to destroy the giant tree in Central District.

Clint observed that the six giant trees were absorbing true energy at different rates, with the tree in Central District being the fastest.

To prevent the catastrophe, he had to prioritize destroying that tree. With that resolve, he pressed his hands together. Celestial power suddenly dissipated, and the power of the Fox Queen emerged within him.

"Quick and decisive!" Clint, now enveloped in formidable power, charged toward Siete and Bastion. Both were stunned by his newfound strength.

"What... What's going on-"

...

Clint's thoughts drifted back to a significant event. It turned out that during the time Ruin was killing the divine rulers, the Fox Queen, Ember Dax, had sensed the anomaly. Seeing it as an opportunity, she rushed to the heavenly gates without hesitation.

At the entrance to the god realm, she encountered Howl, the Immortal Patriarch.

"You are..." Howl looked at the small fox with curiosity.

Howl shook his head and said, "Child, he has already left."

"He left?! Where did he go?" Ember asked.

Howl shook his head again. He knew that since Cliffton was still imbued with celestial power, he had notnoveldrama

yet been reincarnated. As Ember was about to enter, Howl blocked her path.

"Child, your fate with him has ended. Do not persist in your pursuit."

"But..." Ember looked at the Immortal Patriarch with pleading eyes.

Howl sighed and continued, "He'll become an ordinary person in time. It is better if you do not disturb him."

Howl's words pierced Ember's heart. She understood that meeting him again was impossible; she had only been trying to meet him one last time.

As they both fell into silence, a

tremendous divine power surged toward them. Ember, though a queen demon at that time, was

startled and rooted to the spool net

knew that she was no match for the

incoming force.

Howl turned to face the newcomer. "You're Ruin, aren't you?"

Indeed, the visitor was Ruin, who had killed the rulers and escaped through the gates. Ruin glanced at the two blocking his path and then at the list given to him by the old priest. Neither of them was on the list.

"I am not. You must be mistaken," Ruin said calmly as he continued toward the gates.

At this moment, both of them noticed the residual power within Ruin.

"You're the one who killed the rulers?" Howl asked cautiously.

Ruin shook his head. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Stop pretending. Who sent you here?" Howl demanded in a firm tone. Even though he had been sidelined by the rulers and was just a gatekeeper now, he could not ignore the foreign aura emanating from Ruin.

Ruin ignored him, realizing that engaging in a fight here would only waste time. "Immortal, don't make things difficult for me. I'm not looking for trouble with you. Do I have to deal with you both before you're satisfied?"

Both Howl and Ember remained vigilant. Ruin's power was immense, and Howl, despite being an immortal, was not confident in his ability to face such an ancient god-especially with Ember beside him. As the Immortal Patriarch of all families' immortals, and with his other lineage having also transformed into fox demons, Ember could be considered his descendant. He had to protect her.

Given Ruin's formidable strength, Howl reluctantly decided to step aside and allowed Ruin to leave.
