My Four Miraculous Treasures

Lara and Helen took the deed from Willow and saw their names on it. They were surprised.

Willow came back to her senses and shoved the deed and keys back into the young man's hand.

"What is going on? Why did you remodel our house into a villa? What are your intentions? This villa doesn't belong to us. We won't live here. Give us back our old house!"

There was no such thing as a free lunch.

Willow didn't like to take advantage of others. She wouldn't accept other's benefits for no reason.

The young man explained with a dialogue that he had prepared long ago. "This is my boss's development project in the countryside. He chose a house to remodel into a villa as a trial residence. If the owner gives positive feedback, the whole village will be developed in the future."

Willow was stunned. "So, your boss has chosen our family as guinea pigs?"

The man nodded.

"Why were we chosen?" Willow was still suspicious about it.

"It's because your house is shabbiest and the easiest to tear down." These were the words that his boss had told him to say.

Willow was speechless.

She looked at Lara and Helen who were equally stunned and in disbelief.

Although it was harsh to hear that, it was the truth.

Their house was the most run-down in the whole village. As time passed, everyone had remodeled or renovated their houses. Their house was the only clay-brick house. It was the easiest to tear down.

Willow took a deep breath to suppress her annoyance. "Who is your boss? Why did he suddenly want to develop our village?"

The young man scratched his head. He was not sure if he was allowed to tell Willow about his boss's identity.

"If you can't tell me, just tear down

the villa and give us our old house

back. We will not live in a house that appears suddenly nor accept any favors from others for nothing," Willow said.

Although Lara had always been disappointed with Willow for not fighting for things that she deserved, she agreed with what Willow had said.

No one would build a villa for them for no reason and for free. There must be some conspiracy behind it.

Thinking of this, Lara pulled the kids into her arms. No one could snatch them away from her.

The young man couldn't hide it anymore as Willow was quite compelling. It was difficult for him to finish his task.
