My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 578

When Monique and Simone heard that, both their faces stiffened.

The Arbitration Court was a department dedicated to resolving various civil disputes.

They would handle all cases of disputes and give their judgments before it was enforced by the relevant authorities.

The chief of the Arbitration Court was definitely not a low-level, ordinary position. He had immense power.

They knew that Franklin's father used to be a prominent person, but they did not expect him to be able to leverage someone of this level even after retirement.

Monique felt hopeless.

Franklin had even invited the chief of the Arbitration Court, which made her feel hopeless.

When that kind of department got involved, no matter how she tried, she could not stop the sentence that the department pronounced.

"Mr. Lane, please handle this case," Franklin said to Sylus.

He smiled faintly and glanced at Dustin.

What an ungrateful kid!

"Since you have asked for my help, I naturally will do my best," Sylus said and smiled.

Then, his face turned serious.

"Mr. Dustin Fox, please listen carefully." He looked coldly at Dustin.

"The Douglas and Langley families have already arranged a marriage. The Langley family accepted the marriage gift, and that contains certain legal implications.

"Under this circumstance, if you insist on going after Miss Simone Langley, according to the law of Lovellia, the Arbitration Court will consider it as harassment, and we could punish you most severely!

"I now give you an official warning to stay away from Miss Simone Langley, or you'll be facing more than a few years in jail!"

Sylus acted as if he was doing official business, and he warned Dustin off.

Monique's face turned pale.

She was ready to compromise.

She did not want Dustin to be jailed.

Keller and Ellen naturally looked pleased with themselves.

"Did you hear that? This is a warning that the chief of the Arbitration Court personally gave to you. If you dare to get involved further, it means that you'll be disobeying the law! They can arrest you anytime!" Ellen said and sneered.

"We gave you the option, but you refused to take it. Now, are you happy?" Ellen said sarcastically.

Franklin shook his head.

He tried diplomacy first before resorting to force. Unfortunately, this brat was not sensible, and he had forced his hand on this.

A poor guy without any strong background...

How was it possible for him to beat the Douglas family?

'He's young and inexperienced,' thought Franklin.noveldrama

"Mr. Fox, you remain silent. Do you object to the judgment I just passed?" Sylus's face was cold as he asked, just to put more pressure on Dustin.

"How dare he object? Could he have the nerve to disregard the Arbitration Court's ruling?" Ellen scoffed.

Dustin smirked.

He looked at the so-called chief of the Arbitration Court.

"The chief of the Arbitration Court in the Third District, right?" he asked.

"Do I need to show you my ID?" asked Sylus with a frown.

"Your acknowledgment is enough," Dustin said. Then, he took out his phone from his pocket and typed something.

"What are you doing?" Sylus asked.

"I'm sending a text. Just a moment..." Dustin said.

Sylus looked displeased.

Dustin did not care.

"Well, just let him send it. It's useless anyway." Ellen's tone implied that she did

Dustin did not say anything. He quickly typed a few sentences before he hit send.

Then, he put his phone back in his pocket and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

That made Sylus's frown deepen further.

A while later, Sylus's phone rang.

He was stunned. He took out his phone and glanced at it. Then, his face changed. He immediately walked out to the call.

The Douglas family members were a little stunned as they watched Sylus answer the call nearby.

He listened and nodded. He looked to be in disbelief. It was as though he could not calm himself after what he heard.

Soon, Sylus hung up and walked over. He looked bleak.

"Mr. Lane, what happened? Why are you so anxious?" Franklin frowned and asked.

"I... I'm fired," Sylus said in a daze.

"What?!" They were shocked, and their faces turned blank in surprise.
